Very basic question. I am a new guy doing my first real grow. I see claims by the breeders that this plant can give you as much as X per Sq.Meter or X per plant outdoors. The plant that I am growing is Fastbuds Fastberry. The breeder says it can yield "as much as 9 ounces per plant." What I see on line is that most of the autos don't seem to yet anything close to that. I have seen a couple of strains that have a reputation for being judge yield like 10 ounces and the old unicorn grown outside that yield pounds, but for the most part, not even close. People who seem to be experienced appear delighted to get 30=35 grams out of a plant and over the moon if they get say 50-80. What is a REASONABLE expectation for autos assuming really good lights and good but not crazy anal retentive methods of growing that involved 142 diffferent organic amendments. having very small elves hold up the side branches and checking the Ph,temperature, soil density, relativistic velocity compared to the Sun and radioisotope count every 20 minutes?

my first grow yielded 1 joint my next 6 grows 12 joints total in 11L pots.
6 years down the line...im still a shit grower...1L pot 14-28g,3L pot 42-84,6L pots 56-112g
:pighug:

This comes down to growers knowledge on how to get X amount out of a tent to begin with. The info they give is for a dialed system run by a good grower.... what you see are hobbyist growers, ranging from newbies to old men on the mountain...

This is an auto, in a 4x4, in 10 gallons of coco. There better be close to 10 oz when she's done or she won't get run again.

This was a round of 4 autos from spring. Tent produced 680 grams of dried, marketable flower.

I'll add, you'll get out of it what you put into it. Keeping an eye on everything, pH ppm etc, isn't an oddity, it's pretty much mandatory. If issues arise, this is the info used for diagnosis. Just a pic in the infirmary with a what's wrong with my plant doesn't work out.... it gets done, it just doesn't work.

I would imagine most here are in the garden a lot, bet I average 20 to 30 hrs a week. Temps and humidity are quite important for good sized plants.

If you just toss a seed in a pot and treat it like a tomato, you'll get a small poor yielding plant. Those with large, productive plants are pushing the plants to go farther than they can on their own.

It's like drag racing cars. An old ford station wagon can run down the track. Itll be comfy and will do it over and over on a tank of gas, but your not going to go too fast....

Or climb into a nitromethain top fueler, and there's the speed, but, at the expense of reliability and fuel consumption... and she gets hard to control...

But when a run goes right....

I've been growing autos for 14 years using 2-3 ltr pots in a small tent under hps ....although I improved grow to grow, I was happy to get 3/4 oz per plant.
With a changeover to LEDs and autocobs, 2 oz is usual. Just harvested a nice fastbuds girl scout cookies that gave me 92gs of some good weed.
Usually small pots mean small yeilds but I'm happy as heck with that kind of yeild!

And I felt daring stepping down to 1 gallon bags for a seed run...
