Horticultural Lighting Group's Light Up Your Summer Grow and Show!

Things sure have changed.. 6 months on site and 1 completed journal and you can test light fixtures?? That used to be something you had to work towards and earn by going through levels of testing. I hope the other failsafes are still in place. Good luck all!

That was me understanding as well. First some grow n shows with seeds, then product testing, butz maybee that all changed? :shrug:

That no longer applies. There was a misunderstanding about the parameters of this, and I apologize for that. We are now following cultivators club rules which also precludes new people from testing high end products until they've completed x number of test of things like seeds, which is still a pretty cool thing, there are some great genetics offered through AFN this way!

Join the cultivators club!
I am ;) I'm just not a 6 month member yet. If you want a new grower and change your mind i would love to try your lights, i have 2 tents opening up in 2-3 weeks from now.
If not, there will always be more grow and shows :smokeit:and will try my luck again then.

It used to be set up that way with ranks and all that. If we ramp up the testing we may go back to some form of tighter organization. Problem is it's a beast to manage that much info, people, etc., yadda, yadda, yadda. We were burning out staff, stress was high due to chasing people about to do updates, the usual management grief. So the Cultivators Club was started. We have been doing genetics and now are starting to branch out into the bigger stuff again.
Remember this place runs on good smoke and volunteers. We work hard to provide a great place to be but we are only who we are.

It was a passing thought too.
I'm pretty sure "Cut N Run" fail-safe filter will be in effect, especially with this being the first give away.
I'm sure Les @HLG will make sure AFN and HLG have a smooth start to this beneficial relationship to both partners.

edit.....................well I guess that's out the window! LOL!:funny::funny::funny:

Good luck to the current Tier 3 members of the Cultivator club!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I have a brand new light coming from one of our other sponsors for my upcoming Twenty20 Mendocino sponsored grow or I would surely be hoping to try one of the new HLG lights. As I said earlier I have two of their old 260w kits which I replaced with one of their 600w V2 R-spec fixtures which I love.

I hope the lights go to some guys who honestly can't afford one and are good growers with what they're using.

And your hard work and that of all who volunteer here is greatly appreciated!

:thanks::thanks::thanks:

Good to know! That's definitely safer for both parties! Excellent light choices that a few lucky members will get to choose from!
