AN PH Perfect only works if you’re water is less than 8 and more than 5. And if you’re using the trio you have to use all 3 every feeding. And you shouldn’t add anything else to the mix. I use it and still ph most of the time, unless I have a particular mix I’m using and I’m familiar with. I recently bought a kelp additive and used it 3 times before I checked ph. Even with the ph perfect it was dropping my ph down to 4.5. Glad I checked it before I did any damage.Hey brother… I know I’ve asked you this a few times already but have you actually checked your PH this whole time you’ve been growing in Rockwool? I’m curious to see if your Advanced Nutrients are actually PH perfect and I’m sure you would be interested in knowing too. IMHO I can’t see how a nutrient line can be PH perfect when there are so many different things that can throw it off. I also think more companies would be selling PH perfect nutrients if there was such a thing and so far I can’t find any except for Advanced Nutrients that advertises PH perfect. I’ve been hand watering all my plants only twice a day for over 2 months now and haven’t had any major deficiency issues so far… that’s making me wonder if it could be a PH problem you’re dealing with. If you haven’t checked it yet I would stop at your local hydro store when you get a chance and get a $10 PH dropper test kit to see where your PH is actually at. Wouldn’t hurt to exclude one more variable.

Soil is a buffer. You lose that buffer in rockwool. Only reason I haven’t tried rockwool/hydro/dwc is soil is so much more forgiving and I’m a lazy grower. I can’t be bothered to ph every jug of water I put through my plants. But unfortunately it’s necessary in those grow styles.I'm using the Sensi 2 part m8. I've used it for over a decade in soil and never checked ph.. haven't had any issues other than maybe the odd fussy plant over the years.. so for me for soil its always done exactly what it said on the tin.. of course that's based on results.. I can only assume that it held ph stable or my plants would have died.

If you can read your plants you’ll have success. I know you’ve been at this a while so I have faith you’ll make it work.I'm still confident the AN will gold in rockwool without measuring ph m8.. I guess we'll find out within the next few weeks and that will settle it.. I haven't ph'd any of the mix that's gone into my rockwool crouton plants.. they've gone very well compared to the blocks.
