The tables should help, automated hydro once dialled in 'just works', is there any reason other than the variety you are wanting to run so many plants? if you are comfortable with the croutons why not run half the number of bigger plants in the croutons on teh F&D table, it is so much less effort managing 3 or 4 big/ish plants than a lot of smaller ones

No m8 other than to see what size plants I got from what blocks to decide what was goin in the table.. head height is the only issue with pots of croutons.. that could be overcome by buying a 2m tall tent I suppose.. or I could always get back to some topping/training to try and keep height down.. all very much still in the balance but the wee grow croutons for me seem much more forgiving.. this run was always gonna be an experimental effort so its good to be learning what will or won't work for me.

So I've definitely had a lot more joy with the croutons than blocks. The predators a mess and another 2 of the 5 ain't too great either. Hoping that the flood and drain sets them str8. Should be set up and running by tomorrow night. Leaves me a bit miffed about future direction tbh as the croutons grow plants that are too big for my set up even in 2L pots.. and the blocks have been hard to deal with.. an army of 1L pots of croutons in a flood and drain?? lol it may happen.

Thanks bro.. fingers crossed! They're still growing like weeds lol but not being used to any issues or funky leaves even a wee bit gets right at me.. I just don't think hand watering is pushing enough through the blocks to properly exchange the old stuff out.. just need to get 2 holes cut in this res for my inlet/outlet and we're flood and draining.. hopefully tonight's the night!

for sure it is top run for a test - i remember my first hydro run ever, i could'nt understand why i had to keep the water on during lights on (we had no internet, only books), so i didn't keep the water running and they just wilted and keeled over

Could do with at least 3 waterings a day.

First flood went OK.. couple minor issues on the drain.. table bellied so needs something slipped under.. and it has some sort of dips in the corner for feet.. they never think of us growers.. so anyway.. get that sorted tomorrow.. get a timer on for 3 floods in every lights on period and hope the plants stay alive.
