I'll catch up soon:smokebuds:

Isn't it a fucking great world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been very busy, sun has been shining outside and plants are all shining inside.

Things have moved on a bit so let me explain,

Malawi x LR#2 are pretty much ready to come out. Going to give them another week to make sure as they are very heavily seeded. Very similar in appearance but the aroma ranges from very LR booze to pure malawi so I will be good to smoke test and see if the potency and effect is different between them too. I will have photos up when they are harvested.

Once the flowering room is empty (beginning of may I hope) then I will start germinating as many F2's as I can. Ideally 200, realistically 100 and probably less in reality:D They will be under 24hrs and hopefully 3-4 weeks later I will have culled everything but the autos which will then go out into the weather to live and make seeds.

In the flowering room at the moment are 6 Bangi Haze females all nicely into flowering.

Here's the description from ACE
100% SATIVA Flowering indoor: 9-10 weeks Flowering outdoor: END OF SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER PRINCIPLES PRODUCCIÓN/M2: MEDIA SPIDER RESISTANCE: MEDIA Resistance to Oidium: VERY HIGH BOTRYTIS RESISTANCE: VERY HIGH Hardiness: HIGH

GENETICS
FLOWERING

100% sativa, stabilized hybrid. Congolese x Nepali.
9-10 weeks. End of September / Early October.

STRUCTURE
PRODUCTION / M2

It is a compact and columnar sativa, easy to operate indoors.
Medium-high.

BOUQUET
EFFECT

Seductive aromas of anise and flowers.
Strong sativa energetic effect of rises and keeps you active. GROWING TIPS

Bangi Haze has been raised in Galicia, one of the most cold and rainy in Spain.
After several generations of improvement, this sativa has acquired an amazing resistance to cold, rain and all kinds of fungi, being virtually immune to powdery mildew. Produces excellent results in flowering even with days of fog or frost conditions where other varieties other rot or die easily. Bangi Haze has been tested in all kinds of hot and cold weather, including more northern latitude countries such as France, Belgium and the UK.
It is also an excellent choice for indoor growing, because of its compact, columnar and rapid flowering.

So in other words a pure sativa, described elsewhere by Ace as having an Electric high, something that is unique to certain pure sativas. It was grown in Denmark and just finished there, I will try my earliest cutting out just to see but I think that I am to far north for the pure strain.

This I hope will provide the base to create a mold proof cold resistant auto for my northern location.

Heres a photo or two of my bangis, gorgeous plants.

Five are similar and growing buds like this,

The only question was what auto to cross them with. LR and there breed are all mold bombs and I wanted something sativa.

i think one of stitch's Super Auto strains would be a good auto to cross it with...:D...that's just an idea though...i think you'll come up with one!!...awesome work your doing by the way......+repped!!...:smokebuds:

Liked the look of SGS ogre, IBL, big and quick and hopefully sativa dominant.

Heres the description,
OGRE

OGRE is the largest Auto-Flowering strain in the SGS Collection. It is a sativa dominant cross of Secret Citrus x Durban Skunk. OGRE shows a superior accelerated growth pattern not seen in Auto-Flowering strains, this allows OGRE to get very large, averaging 1m+ tall and wide. With a prolific branching system OGRE produces very large yields with over sized aromatic buds.

The amount of growth and yields produced in so little time makes OGRE one of the fastest high yielding plants in the world. Indoors in soil require 1 gallon pots to start, sex will show between Day17-21, transplant to 3-5 gallons until harvest, 70-77 Days from seed. Outdoor start plants outside in a greenhouse or similar in 2 gallon pots, after sexing transplant into 5+gallon pots or directly into prepared soil beds, harvest 75-80Days.

Seed to Harvest:
Indoor 70-77 Days
Outdoor 75-80 Days

Height:
1+m Indoor
1- 1.5+m Outdoor

So I grew out 6 and with the help of SGS picked out the best two males that pollinated each of the bangis and also a few others. Also pollinated the ogre females too. The ogre females have been grown under T5's. The fastest was put into 12/12 due to space and i don't think she liked and is finishing quick but seeds should be ok.

One was kept in a smaller pot and seems to be a more skunk pheno but the other is as durban pheno and is living up to the strain description. Lovely.

More ogre,

These are all at least a week old so things have swollen since,

Skunky pheno,

And the longer flowering durban pheno,

Really filling in since this photo, lovely sweet smells,

So the problem is that Dubi the breeder of Bangi haze felt that crossing with indica/ indica hybrid would lose the electric high so this was a concern.

However there is a possible solution which i shall show next.

I also crossed the ogre with my Green panama, 20 week flowering and the most decadent smoke I have ever had. Watching the ogre growing i think this is a cross with real possibilities.

Green panama,

Panama cutting is flowering in only 14 weeks - like i said it is a fucking great world:pimp:

And my possible solution,

Thaipan aka Dragon Haze,

So possible landrace auto thai pure sativa. Was a little doubtfull at first but have now seen enough in others grows and with what they are doing with me to be fairly convinced. certainly showing full sativa traits it has even been cut and come again in warmer shores than mine. That's two harvests in a summer from one plant:hump:

Possible hermi problems inside. The three females i have all showed male preflowers on there first node that showed. However all preflowers since have been female. The original 'male' preflowers have started to grow into leafy mass's, something I have only seen on landraces.

qlbQ6.jpg

potted up into 4l pots from 1l pots before sexing and showed no problem with this.

The males only go for 5 or so weeks and stay really squat.

They are about 3 weeks old now and probably won't get much bigger,
ERrii.jpg

The females on the other hand will flower for alot longer and get alot bigger!

I have 4 males and the best will pollinate bangi cuttings as well as my favourite thai pheno golden tiger ( and the green panama too, my not)

The plan is to grow outside this year in the woods, LR#2, thaipan and ogre as well as some other autos to see what preforms best and also which i prefer the smoke of. This will give me the info I need to decide which crosses to work on. I also ordered some of LBH's asian haze and will try this out to too see how a long flowering auto does here.

Oh aye and I also have 2 ruderalis from lake baikal in russian growing out too,

Grown on a bit heres the first to pop. Germinated in toilet roll tubes to make transplanting easier once they are up as the cardboard will disintegrate in the larger pot( hopefully)

so that's sort of up to date, busy times,

and best of all,

Hey MrniceSmoke,

Did look at some of the super autos but they seem to be only expensive fems.

I understand people wanting to save strains from unscrupulous bastards and so only make fem seeds but this is a bad shit in my view. That's just greed and fear. For a plant to have given so much to people to be then considered theres is corporation thinking and to fuck with that:peace: That isn't directed at anyone in particular and i understand people want fem seeds to make life easier but seed companies come and go and laws can change overnight and the only thing that removes us from these systems is the ability to be self-sufficient. Male + Female =ganja, Female + Female = lovely movies but no smokies.

Funny how many people grow organically but are happy to splash the chemicals around to make sexual oddities.

I only buy stains that come from places as recommended by the breeder. Only a fool would buy from anywhere else. Let the rip-offs and fools who buy them suck each other dry and remember the way we got the plant in the first place, the generosity and far sightdness of everyone who has kept the plants alive through the repression of the these strains by world governments and institutions, not to mention mafia plantations of hybrids in trad growing areas.
................

Got a bit carried away there Mrnicesmoke,

I was just going to say cheers and you can see I have a few things to try but there you go!

Have a good one:toke:
