That's why I generally only check the trichs after harvest ... the overall condition of the plant will indicate when it's time to come down ... if I miss one way or the other ... oops ... it'll still burn ...
I expected the trich pics to show a high percentage of amber but I couldn't find an amber trich no matter how hard I looked ... these pics were from one of the main colas ... oddly, while the buds were heavily encrusted w/ frost both inside and out ... there were no sugar leaves ... the frost did not extend past the outside of the bud ...
As the BOM competition for this month draws to a close I want to thank all that voted for me ... getting any votes in a competition of this quality is fantastic ... Hell ... even I voted for Stepside's Bubblelicious ... I'll get some pics up when I get a little further along w/ the dry and cure ... all buds are in mid 70's rh at 5 days ... thanks again to all that followed along ...
Six days into dry ... bud rh mid 70s plus 4 largest colas' low 80s rh ... at this point I put them on paper plates loosely covered because I want them to continue to dry but not too fast ...
Those are nice big colas. Packed with TCH goodness. Paper bag them to finish. Great job. Oh yeah, open the bag and gently shake every so often. That will keep things evenly dry.
You can close the paper bag during this. The bag is not air tight. Just open and shake till dryness happens.
Sweet work done right.
Just realized I just had lunch on the same paper plates.
