Hi guys/girls just thought i would take the time out to say hello here to everyone and thank the AFN for making a network just for auto growers well pleased someone come up with this  ha

Well iv been thinking off doing autos now for some time and not had the balls to risk my normal yield and quality to do so but ave got a few weeks for you guys to make me ha..

Little about me and my style off growing ..

Anyway am a hydro grower dwc with parabolic reflectors digital ballasts and ozone so half nice set-up :stir: this is what i will be using for my autos too . am the type off grower who likes to never grow a plant over 2 and half foot on 600watt lights.. likes blue and red lighting for grow and bloom use flowering nutes like the lucas formula. all the way though the life cycle and spray with seaweed. love folier feeding :wiz: no vits or nitrogen in pre flower or anything that will make them stretch any-more! like my ladies to be short and compact :)

I like the k.i.s.s method too

Why am thinking autos ?
just trying to save weeks so i get a extra crop or 2 in the year. lets see if we can or not ? while still hitting 600 gram a meter mark ???? and just loveing the red family to at the min from sweet seeds ..

For my first attempt i was thinking off sweet seeds dark poison? grow ? what you guys think ? ave had a look here and not seen anyone doing one as yet so carnt get no info from anywhere on them help ? please !

What i no so far about autos in dwc hydro

In hydro ph 5,8 in grow to 6.2 ?
Flower 5.8 - 6.5 ?
Blue light for veg red for bloom ?
Temps veg 75 - 85 degrees?
Bloom temps 73-78 degrees?
Humidity nothing less then 50 ?

Donts

Anything below 65 degrees stunts growth ?
No super cropping/topping/trimming/or foiler feeding ?? more info on this one .
Dont like strong lights ? nutes ?
No repoting!
Basically nothing that stunts them

Anything that anyone has more info on please put me straight sure yous will cheers peace out AFN :tiphat:

Welcome to AFN nellie! Glad to see you on your way! You should find plenty of information here to help you maximize your current yields and probably find a friend or two. Let me know if I can be of any assistance to you.

Welcome to the family! I have my ladies under a 1000w hps and they ALL love it! I only grow autos and only in soil. Some people do prune and super crop, others like my self just tuck fan leafs. Autos do not like strong nutes. That goes double for seedlings. But after that just watch them after feeding. Best of luck, oh p.s. sweettooths get HUGE!

:styles rasta: To the family .....

Hi nellieanne Welcome to AFNlogowhich coincendentally could also stand for Awesomely Freindly Network ;)
Not long here myself but know you just gonna love this place, I too like to keep my ladies on the shorter side and love a good ol' bit of liquid seaweed too!

Many expirienced growers here to lend a hand and point you in the right direction.

Have a good look round the forum there are some awesome grows which have you drooling & will help you decide which auto to try, sometimes you'll see one and just fall in love.

Start yourself a thread or grow journal and help will come your way, plus take lots of pics of your grow, I'm a sucker for pretty ladies.

Have a good grow and just holler if you need something.

Peace

Growerz

Welcome

Hey nellieanne

Welcome to AFN! ^_^

Your setup sounds great! I think with good seeds you may struggle to keep your DWC plants at the 2 foot mark without some serious training. The DWC guys here seem to smash it every time!
I'm a coco grower so can't really offer you much advice with DWC, but if you need some inspiration, head over to the hydro section and you'll find grow logs from Seymour Buds and ViracochaDWC.

Let me know if you need any assistance getting around the forums!

All the best

:styles rasta: Nellie! Good to have you on board! You obviously know your stuff already and seem to have good info on auto's already, many growers on here are now achieving yields that are comparable to photo strains but like blue says above the DWC guys seem to get HUGE plants, i'm a soil grower and try to keep my plants a compact size due to space restrictions i don't train but introduce bloom nutes slightly earlier, probably compromising yield but stops them from growing into my light! There is a dedicated sweet seeds section where you can get advice from fellow sweet seeds growers and also from the good people at sweet seeds themselves, definately worth checking out. welcome to the family light yourself a doobie and have a good look round! :smokebuds:

cheers everyone thanks for the warm welcome  liked all the coments cos i liked um ha

so is there any dwc grows you would recomand looking at ? this is my first stop then am gonna have a look about in the hydro section see what i can find cheers...:dance2:

Hey Nellie

Seymour-buds has done loads of DWC growlogs on here, including a massive Think Different grow which has almost a quarter of a million views :Holy Moly:

They can be a bit of a tough read becuase so many people chime in and ask questions, but i think he breaks his grows down well and explains a lot.
here's a link to all his grows, maybe pick one with less comments on for ease of reading!

All the best
