I think high CBD strains might be different. I think you want them to be all cloudy and not necessarily amber but 10% should be minimal enough to not make a difference.

I think high CBD strains might be different. I think you want them to be all cloudy and not necessarily amber but 10% should be minimal enough to not make a difference.
What you don’t see is the plant that’s only like 12” tall, bushy mess, but it still looks good from the top down haha. I’ll throw up a few pics tonight of the WW trichs after I check it out with the loupe. I have a macro lens for my phone, and seen maybe 25% ambers on the very tops of the WW. Should I be going off the tops of colas or looking at the mid section of the buds?
Thanks for the reply, just my one plant is a CBD. I was curious how long I could let the White Widow go for, she started to fade/turn all sorts of colours the other day, and looks like the end is near. Like I mentioned above, I’ll post loupe pics of the trichs later tonight. I could see a lot of ambers with my phones macro lens on the very tops, but read that could be misleading due to trichs getting beat up from being hands on with the buds and what not. True or not, I dunno. Where’s the best spot to check the trichs? Tops? Midsections?

If trichs are not uniformly turning cloudy or Amber at the same rate all over the plant then couldn’t you harvest the buds that are ripe to your liking as they turn?
True true. I’m hoping to get in a couple days feeding the dry kool bloom powder, and then feed for a few days just plain ph’d water/florakleen.

Day 69
Gave the WW a good once over with the 30x loupe and it looks like a good mix of half n half clear/cloudy trichs. Just going to let her do it’s thing and ripen up for probably 2 weeks. Started giving it feed with the dry kool bloom powder, I’ll feed that for a week, slowly decreasing the ppms, and give it a couple days with just ph’d water and Flora Kleen until the end. Here’s all my blurple beauty’s.

WW got her last feed yesterday, her days are winding down now. I’ll feed with water for 2 days, put her into dark solitary confinement for 24-36hrs, and then snip snip!
