New Grower Hempy Buckets

I was going to go coco but from what I researched people are getting the same if not better results with hempy buckets and there so much easyer to run with very little to go wrong. could you do a side by side and compare?

Il take a photo in a min to show clearly how im doing my hempy buckets, and how doing the way I am doing it I water/feed even less requently than standard hempy buckets, the best thing is I can also check the ppm & ph of the res so I can see exactly how much the girls are drinking & eating.

what ratio coco to perlite is a good mix?

sorry for shit photo quality. i got a few like this, pots in big trays (chopped up floists bucket). i fill the bucket with water/ feed and dip my ppm meter in daily to see how much she is eating.

I need some more hydroton to line the bottom of the bucket/res. I got some tiny water pumps i might add if i do it this way on a bigger scale to keep the water airrate stop it going stagnant and keep the nutes evenly mixed

Cool setup.

Is this the first run you've done with hempy? Just curious how much more yeild your going to see, in comparison.

First time, I got some of the same phenotypes growing in soil in the same size pots so should get a good idea how yeild and taste will compare. however the ones in soil are suffering a hard time, but the hempy bucket girls are fucking loving life & showing it!!

The best success I've had has been when I let my hempy buckets go dry before watering again. Keeping a constant high level of water is also known as a perched water table. Plants roots can't breathe. Letting the rez go down draws in much needed air to the rootzone.

I dont fill the res untill its dry, when it gets down to the last few mm is when the roots have there big growth spurts. I swear you could watch them grow in real-time.

It is cool to see. check this vid.

Looking fine! Those hempy buckets sure treat you alright eh?

seems the auto process pulls the fruit flavs with it, over the skunky ones.

The one on the left caught my eye. That's only because I usually choose larger plants. One on the right still looks good though.

I dont have a lid for my tomato hempy bucket in the greenhouse, I was thinking if i added an ince of soil/compost it will stop the perlite drying out as fast. could this cause any problems? would the tomatos taste any nicer with a bit of soil on top?
