All you need is the base nutrients. All that other crap is designed to move $$ from your account to theirs........ I'm serious. If all your plant needs isn't in the nutrient blend, then your being xheated, plain and simple. Canna A and B work fine and need nothing more, we've had several growers here who have used it successfully. Many nutrient problems are from over use of "additives". PK boosters in particular are bullshit. Trying to force more Pand K into your plant does not: 1. Trigger flowering, increase bud sites, or make buds harder. They only get away with it by saying, but it is a plant nutrient................

Here's how Canna says you can determine nutrient levels in coco:

1. Take a sample of COCO from the slabs or pots (photo 1). This can be done with a soil core sampler or a trowel. To get a representative sample the COCO must be collected from as many places as possible.
2. Collect the sample in a bowl and determine whether it contains the right amount of moisture. The COCO has the right amount of moisture if moisture disappears between your fingers when you squeeze it (photo 2). Add de-mineralized water if necessary and mix the COCO.
3. Take a 250 ml measuring jug and fill it with 150 ml of de-mineralized water. Add COCO to the 250 ml mark (photo3). Fully mix and allow the slurry to settle for at least two hours.
4. Mix again and measure the pH.
5. Then filter this material and measure the EC.

I was just wondering if anyone has any luck using Canna’s line of nutrients? specifically the ones formulated for Coco. was gifted Canna Coco a A+B and was wondering if I can get by the whole grow with just using A+B with good results (I want good product if that means I need the other additives that’s ok) Do I need Canna’s other products such canna boost, pk 13/14, ryzotonic, & cannazym for a superior harvest that is dank when you look @ it. The reason I ask is because this shit is expensive. Is anyone using just A+B and other PK boosters and nutes that are less expensive? I don’t want to cut corners if I don’t have to but if there’s viable cheaper options I am open to it :bigjoint: Also I plan on growing in autopots with a reservoir, I assume that means I need to make my nutrient solutions a bit weaker but does anyone know how much weaker? I plan on following the light feeding schedule from Canana’s website possibly even @ a lower dose

If you can't get proper fertigation from ANY company's standard nutrient package, then your being deceived and cheated. I good nutrient package should have everything a plant needs. Show me the science proving all that other nonsense they try to sell you is actually improving anything. Seems awfully funny I've grown my best plants ever with nothing more than a 1 part nutrient. I don't see organic growers searching for "bloom enhancers" or "bud hardeners". And if I'm wrong, then prove it, I'm always willing to admit I'm wrong when i am. But I've not found anything but "bro science" to back up any of the nonsense claims made by nutrient companies. Gee, isn't there even one called Cha Ching! ( who's money is that clinking???....)

@Dreminem169 I know you would rather not get the full product line but I think you will enjoy the quality that comes from proper fertigation. Canna has a great calculator on-line that lets you dial in the schedule - Almost. They do not have a schedule for Autos. Never fear - we can fix that. Go out to Canna and fill out the form. Choose Light Feed and fill the rest with what you want. Bamm it calculated the exact balanced nutrients you need. Now start feeding that at 50% strength. Increase by 10 % each week until you see a little bit of tip burn then back off 10%.

I did and experiment. Not, unfortunatelyt, to rigorous scientific standards. However, I suspect that the results would be very similar. I grew I believe it was 6 plants. Three were fed House and Garden Soil A and B. The other three were fed some 99 cent nutrient I got from Walmart, looked similar to Miracle Grow. All the plants fed the cheap stuff, were larger and produced more bud than the $50 worth of H&G. Now I'm sure the H&G was a much cleaner nutrient that the cheap stuff, god only knows what heavy metals etc were in it, but the point is your still getting NPK plus the needed micro nutrients whatever base you use. And I don't buy into the, it's custom blended for: Cannabis, or tomatoes, etc. Plants take up what the need when they need it. It matters not the ratio of the blend. all of that is marketing, pure and simple.

No, I do not think you would grow plants as well with FF. Canna is a top line like House & Garden and Advanced Nutrients. They are expensive but you get what you pay for. Until you know you can grow indoor crops it is best to go with one of these lines and follow the instructions and balance precisely. There is so much to learn in the beginning you don't want to worry about your nutrient balance.

After you have become a seasoned farmer then you can look at using the basic elements and bio-stimulants to create your own nutrient system. The obvious reason is to save money.

Is that chart based on processed water? Does it take into account well water?

hello i just finished a grow with the canna line up easy to use i feed lighter then there lowest feed chart else you deff get nute burn

What I’m trying to figure out is since I’m gonna be using the Autopot system if I should use the canna cocoa line or the Cannes aqua line for recirculating systems because I will have no runoff. I know they formulate their lines slightly different according to your medium and gardening method. I already have the Canna Coco but I can always exchange it for the Cannes aqua cuz I’m cool with the grow shop.

I think you would be better using the aqua as you will be using a rez i think its more stable then canna coco nutes i.e your ph should stay in range better

How do I follow the canna chart if I’m in a 3 gal container? If I’m only going to use say 1/2gal of water to feed to I put 1/2 gal for my tank size or do I put 3gal for my tank size on the canna calculator?
