Did I ruffle?
I can delete posts if I was asking to many questions unfairly ?
My intent was to help improve. I think AFN just makes us so much more informed and tuned into what growing and breeding really is that maybe we want more than your typical YouTube/IG grower. Maybe I’m the 1% looking for more info. I had to leave seedsman the other day because I was getting fed up with the lack of useful information. I felt like every seed offered was the same. Like they copy and paste but just changed lineage for every description.
There I go about to ramble. I need to go back to some Jack or Some Cookies, Critical has been taking off
Hey @Frenjamin Banklin - no ruffling at all my friend, we welcome questions and are happy to answer them as best we can.
If you want to PM me i can go into as much detail as you would like me to and hopefully give you the depth of knowledge you are after. We have to walk a reasonably fine line when it comes to the website content, too much can overload people and they loose interest, not enough and serious growers wont have what they need....
We list all the headline crosses that we use for each strain so you can get a clear picture of the lineage. With regards to stability, we obviously want the traits to be as stable as possible and so the breeding process reflects that. Yes the main focus was absolutely on getting the maximum yield possible from the plants, that is why we chose the parents we did. In terms of speed, we try to be as accurate as possible in stating the flowering times based on a reasonable standard indoor setup, but as environmental factors play such a critical part there is no cast iron guarantees that they will finish dead on the time stated. We know when the final products were tested that we got the average times set, however there is some drift from individual plant to plant. Its like a bell curve, you get some that finish really fast, some that go way over, but the vast majority will fit in the time bracket stated on the site.
In terms of Phenotypes, we have worked very hard to get stability and so there should not be much pheno variation. When we say it will do something we genuinely believe it will, but mother nature can always throw a curve ball our way from time to time.
Cheers
Chris
