Welcome aboard! I'm looking forward to seeing your gear being grown out! How long have you been working your photo period lines? Are they F1's? Thanks in advance!
Hey - thanks for the question, i hope this helps:
On the whole the range is technically F3's with only Colossal Purps being an F2. We base this on the fact that there are very few landrace strains available in the world nowadays and even those are debatable if they are a true "landrace". If you class an F1 as the first generation of two separate genotypes and an F2 being a cross of that hybrid with itself or a sibling, it is still difficult to say that these are true F2's.
If you take Giant Skittlez as an example then you would really have to say that Skittlez is at best an F3 because its lineage stems from hybrids that are not strictly speaking of a unique genotype, and by crossing it with critical mass you are again not crossing it with a unique genotype hence it does not make it an F1 again.
All of this hinges of if you define a new cross of two different hybrids as an F1. If you do then most strains are an F1 unless they have been inbred or selfed.
Our opinion is that unless you are using landrace or truly unique crosses, then saying anything is an F1 is a misnomer. We have back crossed fast master heavily to get the flowering time down and keep stable so that could be classed as either an F2 or an F5 depending on how you measure it!
In a nutshell, we put the lineage of all the strains on the packs and try and fill in the gaps on the site, but if you have a specific strain you want to know more about please just ask!
