My name is Cris, I'm 23 years old and I am studying Civil Engineering.
My English isn't perfect so I hope you understand everything I write, if not, please tell me, I'll be happy to know how to write better

I'm an average smoker, but didn't know much of growing plants indoor 'til like a year ago when I started to watch some videos on youtube of people growing indoors. I was amazed of what some of them did, and with home made equipment! So I got curious about it, started reading some docs, watching videos, talking with some friends that know about it (not close friends though).. One day I thought to myself, "why not?". I started making a plan to build/buy one. Since I don't came from a wealthy family and my parents don't know about it, I don't have much money with me and don't have much space to put it, so it had to be as economic, stealthy (which it turned out wrong about the stealthy part xD) and with the right measurements.. so I made one. Well, after that it was really quick, grab the "best" soil I could get, some CFLs with the right spectrum, some seeds I chose from Royal Queen Seeds (saw it was recommended on the net, gave it a try) and started planting! Now I'm finishing my first grow :, during this process I was never sure of what to do, just tried to do the most basic thing I could do, just soil, plain fresh water and the right lights and so far so good! (At least I think so xD)
Since you helped me a lot with your forums here, I wanted to leave here a HUGE THANK YOU to the community for all the information that you put on the internet, step-by-steps and videos, they were essential for me, and I need them and now even more since I still have plenty to learn about this

PS: If you want I can show you some pics of what I have. I know it has its flaws but think that it came from the hands of a total newbie that the only thing he grew was the bean in the cup on first grade xD

Hey there welcome to AFN. Pics work they can give you a idea of where you are now and how you have improved. My first autos were okay now I grow big boys. One thing I can say is get some great white roots, that stuff is awesome. They dont like nutes much as you will learn. I just had a bout with overfeeding. Big plants thought they were hungry. Not so. Hope to share some pics. Try sweet seeds and dutch passion. Both have good genes and strains available.

Here are some pics of what I've been doing, please feel free to give me some advices, I really need some as I've been doing this on my own and with basic steps

Here's the grow room when I was building it, even the wooden structure was made by me from a big plate and some wood tools

Its not like this, I've put a bigger intake fan on the top and an exhaust fan on the bottom, I know it should be opposite, and I put a square box with an open, to not pass any light to the exterior, you'll see on the pics

but im growing Northern Light also i have 2 Blackberry plants my friend just gave me cause he couldnt take care of them. Thought id take those and see what i could get out them. Free plants ..... why not ? lol

Thanks mate! This is just one plant, I wanted to do 2 in the beginning but I was affraid of killing both.. so I preferred this way. Next time there will be 2 .
Hey free plants, and if you were already growing, thats just awesome! How lucky can you be, no friend of mine would give me a plant like that xD
Northern Lights! They will be my next purchase as it is said on the internet they give you some really good yield .. wonder about the quality though.. Well you'll tell me!
