Hello my fellow AFNer's! It's been a while since my last journal. After moving my digs to a new place at the end of last year, I started a new grow with a revamped setup at the beginning of this year. Dropped a Seedsman Power Africa and White Widow photoperiod to work on my auto topping and LST skills. Long story short, I followed @autobeast's thread "Auto topping, pushing the limits" and came out with almost 11oz's total, my largest yield to date.
After a few tweeks and new lights and exhaust, I'm ready to go all in with the autos again. So with all that being said, here's what I have going:
Setup
4x4x7 tent
285cfm exhaust fan
2 Missyee 900w output full spectrum lights (not high end, but good to start with)
4 Kingbo 225w full spectrum LED flat panels (I know you're thinking that's too much light)more about that later. One 16" fan for circulation
Two 6" fans at the vent openings to help with ventilation
Four 6w air pumps with air stones
Four 5 gal buckets with 6" net pots
One 18 gal reservoir
Rapid Rooters
Hydroton
DIY AC system (still in progress)
Nutrients
Advanced Nutrients Micro, Grow and Bloom with Voodoo, B 52, Overdrive, Flawless Finish, and Hydroguard
Fast Buds seeds
Green Crack
Blue Dream Matic
BlackBerry
LSD 25
So about those lights...
My configuration as of now is the two 900w in the center with the four 225w on the four sides of the tent at 45° downward angles, all at the top of the tent.
I want to play around a bit with lighting to see what kind of results I get. I've got 2700w to play with (168.5w per sqft, 556.6w at the wall). I thought about running all of them at once, but decided against it until I get the AC squared away and make sure vent & exhaust can handle the extra heat. Then, I might not. We'll see. So in the meantime I am running just the 225w lights. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
I'm doing gravity fed dwc with reservoir using ph'd well water and 1/4 nutes.
I did cut the hose length after pics were taken
Dropped the beans on Saturday and all came up on Monday. Using a 300w CFL for the first week or so.
So this is my journal and I'm sticking to it! [emoji41]
Any questions, thoughts, comments or advice are welcome and always appreciated!
