Hecno's on going organics

Hey @hecno my friend
Found your thread again bro , I will be more online at afn too ....i Know how hard it is not to grow.... Great to see you back in action.

So ducks have nuts? In my former profession, I was the nut expert. Happily retired….
Be quite fun to watch you rock the Qboards. Haven’t given up the Autocobs.
Z99…. Is that a Cinderella99 cross? Tobe’s OA got rave reviews from Hairy. I’m guessing a further filial than a few years ago. I’m all in if he makes more BerryAssault.
Hey @BCBudlady my friend
For sure i make more of the berry assault, i am so happy to restart working at my crosse's. A close friend @Eden'sGardener is also around he helped me with my projects we formed a group of locals growing/breeding and enjoy together.

Hi guys , Been on one hell of a ride . What we have in town is madness , House wise , we are moving yet again 3 times in 3 months . Rent is near impossible to get and houses are selling so fast . Land prices are also going up , Lucky we are well known in town , a lady we know is moving down south for a while 1 to 2 years , So we will move to her place in the next 2 weeks , :woohoo1: and I can start growing again , boy have I missed growing .
I also have a new job , I got really mad at the last one , I could not handle the waste as in what they are willing to throw out , it is a crime what they waste , and we are talking about a large supermarket brand . Fuckin disgusting . But not to worry I have a new job as head gardener at a large holiday park . Howdy @trailanimal good to see you are alive and well  @Mossy . we are now :cooldance: @Waira weather has been good up here . most of the big rain has been do south , we have had just over 400 mm for the month , we can handle that up here and down south they built in stupid places where should not have . The eggs , pre boil for 6 to 8 min , peel and smoke with temp no more than 30 c till you get the colour you want -- the longer the stronger the flavour of the smoke . I tend to do 3/4 of a hour . then roll in a spice mix and leave in a bag for a hour of so and Bobs ya uncle - done - :smoking:
:bighug:Hec mate, what madness is this? Here I thought you were settled at this place in the last posting -
3 times in as many months, that's living like a gypsy! Well, I hope this next one is the bloody last for a while... And that some nice property can be found meantime for your family to really drop anchor and stay put!

I'm not surprised you left that job mate, kinda foreshadowed it if I recall rightly,... just not your sort of gig, and then the heaps of wasted foods/goods- :nono:
This I have heard from others, it's nauseating on a few levels...
Great on the head greenthumb job mate, they don't know how good they have it yet! :d5:

Also great to hear you aren't floating out to New Caledonia from the insane rains in other areas, the pics I've seen were surreal,... kids tricycles hanging from power/telly wires nearly 2 stories up, traffic lights barely clearing the water....:yoinks:
No doubt, those Southies in the so-called 100-500 year flood zones are now looking at a whole new reality on that! :help:

:watering: Can't wait to see you growing again as well mate, and with the solid players in that line-up!
QB's are the way to go now, I'm grabbing a new unit myself from HLG, just waiting for the 4/20 deal to show... Then I can retire the dated AutoCOB's for emergency use only. I'll have 2 small units in there so I have some height adjustment flexibility
The results from last year made it clear how much better the QB's are, with half the tent under the Infinity QB and the other with the COBs... Most notable, I didn't get that annoying interveinal chlorosis thing on the leaves, which seems to be common with the COB's for whatever reason. The light is gentler too, being spread out more, no strong point-source intensity and far less shadowing effects...

Meantime stay sane as ya can! :goodluck::passit:

In last year's window 4 plants in 1/2 gallon pots. 11 hrs COB, 7 hrs direct sun. One of the 4 had chlorosis. Spent some time trying to figure this out. Soil only grow, so I was pretty sure it wasn't grower error. The other girls not showing symptoms. My conclusion. lock-outed manganese. But I see there could be more at play. COB could have been the trigger. Thinking back I remember that plant looking a little fried on top and mentioned to Sharon I needed to raise light. Helped with the fry but stayed chlorotic the whole grow.

Trail brudda- :bighug: I am way overdue at your thread, BBL!

Yeah, I almost always had this show on the tent auto's when under the COB's, to varying degrees,... I even treated them with foliar, some with Transport as well and it still didn't help much or last! It bugged the fek outta me for that first season and a half, but couldn't sure it was the lights because I was using/testing different nutes and soils. Lights were suspect, common in LED's with this symptom as we see in others grows, but after I got that Infinity QB in there the difference even from side to side was apparent!
Something about the spectrum is my best guess....
hmmm.gif

Mn defc. is a weird one, hits tops mainly being immobile, but the tell-tale spotting + yellowing pattern is usually the key sign... It doesn't cause that chevron-like pattern though...
