Hi guys.

I have some spare cash left over around £400.
And im really thinking about ordering a LED panel this week.
The more power the better really , its for a 80x80x160 tent.

Any info on makes and models would be great.

So that's about 31" square and about $632 US. Two of the Blackstar 240s would work nicely in that area. Not sure if you can easily get them, or the price, but here they would run about $550 for two of them. Littlebopeep is in Europe and just finished a comparison grown of the Fero LEDs with good results. Don't know what their price is but they might also be an option.

I'll only be growing 1 auto in a dwc oxypot , so coverage isnt really a issue.
Just if im gonna fork out £450 notes on a light , i want it to be right,

cheers mate

Maybe wait a couple weeks for the new Blackstars to be released

If say if your just doing 1 auto at a time there's no need to spent all that money on a 500w,a 240w or 300w blackstar would grow you 1 good auto with ease,at a lower cost than the 500w..plus 500w is very intense for one plant and if you haven't got lots of head room you may not get it high enough,to low and it can effect your plants. Iv just read Seymour saying he thinks his 600w for the think different was overkill and he's doing the blueberry under 300w now mate

I agree, a blackstar 240 or 300 would be enough for an auto. I had two snowryders growing under one of them and it performed great. Currently growing 2 supercritical autos under 2 240 blackstar and light penetration is awesome with those 3w chips.

if i was u i would go to gothamhydroponics site and maybe email them about maybe getting a deal for 2 of the 240w ones so that way if u decide to add a cpl more plants later on u can adjust both lights to dif plant heights. have also heard alot of people from here getting a good deal by calling in and talking to them.

go with whatever wattage your comfortable with but a 240w blackstar with one plant i would suggest a LARGE pot to put it in to maximize your output. good luck i have 4 of those panels and i LOVE them
