DutchPassion Show Grows 2024 HashbrownClown grows Dutch Passion Lemon Z.

Update day 67/ 20 days in flower. I am very happy with how things are coming together, everything is cruising right along. Flowers are starting to plump up a bit and take shape. The smells are starting to be more noticeable with lemon standing out. They are getting thirsty now and have to fill 1 gallon reservoir twice daily and now top watering the nutrients every other morning then top off rez with 6.0 ph water. Since moving to every other day feeding I’ve lowered ppm from around 900 to 700 range I’m still adjusting trying to find the sweet spot. Still slowly working some defoliation on both mainly the shorter of two. I’m going to try pick up my 2 grow pros 4’ under canopy lights this week from another property where I have a few things going. It took a lil longer then I had hoped and I’m now starting to see the lowers are in need of a boost. I am still working through defoliation gradually and should be in good shape come next week. I will update with new pics of installed under canopy lights and controller. Ph in rez and pro mix are in the range of 5.8-6.1 and last Thursday I top watered with recharge compost tea and things are still a beautiful green. Dont be afraid to remove lowers that wont get the light they need!

We have bunch of snow coming today or I’d have my under canopy lights installed. But I don’t know how bad roads will be when I get home from work. I started defoliation from top to bottom, and I did more yesterday. It’s close to where I want it and I’m waiting on lowers till the under canopy are installed and I see how they are going to act.

Day 71/24 in flower. Our weather has been not so good and lot of snow this week and haven’t been able to make the trip to grab my under canopy lights yet, they are at my old place and should’ve already been here. That said I’ve done some more defoliation and made a couple clones of the lowers I chopped to maybe throw outdoors this year or to try a fast veg and experiment a lil. I think I pulled 5 solid clones out of it. Not a loss in my eyes. If all goes well I’ll have the under canopy lights by end of this weekend. The plants are doing great dropped back to feeding full strength every other watering. The leaves are a beautiul shade of green and buds are fattening up in a hurry. Insane frost as well to be so early on I am going to say that these should be a real treat. If you are considering trying these out and like the lemon and citrus terps, then do it. They are not difficult to grow and have some strong branching I foresee some big yields come harvest time.

Day 76/29 in flower. All is good and just kinda cruising and keeping humidity around 50-55. Temperatures with lights on max 76, lights off low 60. I put the shorter of the two plants on a box to try even out the height difference and it has helped a bit. They have frost on the fan leaves and look to be a really beautiful strain. It was a pleasure to grow start to finish and hasn’t disappointed at all. Still some way to go. And I believe they are going to be huge. Really liking the lemon smell upfront, very inviting. Looking forward to seeing the outcome.

Day 82/35 in flower building some solid buds, and starting to bulk up lil. I have still just been feeding about half gallon each plant every other water fill up. Using full strength Jacks two part with Epsom. I still have lil ways to go I’m not bothered about time. I feel contest or not I’m going to the end not a day sooner then ready. Just to get this far and stay in green is good accomplishment for myself. These things smell so amazing and it almost makes my mouth water every time I have to fill reservoir usually when lights kick on and right before they go off for the night, I can’t wait to get to finish line. I may harvest a lower branch about week early to get a smoke report and wrap up an amazing run with Lemon Z, and there will be more Dutch Passion genetics in my future. Maybe try out some of their autos definitely want to try oh my gushers which I believe won 2nd at auto World Cup in 2024. I am starting to get anxious and excited to finally see finish line approaching. So far I have already exceeded my personal goals and expectations courtesy of the fine genetics and the opportunity to grow them out, and be a part of my first competition. I didnt expect to get this far and everything is going good so far. Thank you for those who helped me along the way, this is truly the best forum for growers to help each other I wish I would’ve found it sooner.

Day 89/42 in flower. Starting to form into a very nice sized buds. The plants are still healthy and chunkin’. I could smell them last nite before I put my house key into the lock. It was the unmistakable smell of lemons and citrus one of my favorite flavor profiles. What is there not to like about these girls. Everyone seems to be doing great and in their own way. Once I harvest these I’m sure they will be my reward. It’s been a real pleasure to be a part of this contest and an honor to be included with all the other growers. I can’t wait to see the weights of each plant and also the smoke report. :baked::thanks:
