Are photos the same as Autos? Do the leaves just turn yellow and you know its ready with autos, or do you still look thru the 420 scop at the trichs?

What Temp And Humidity should I try to maintain?

This will be in a 3x3x7 grow box 400watt HPS, 250 CFM Inline Duct Fan, Charcoal Scrubber/filter, small window fan to circulate air, FF soil, FF Nutes, goin for a 6 plant grow in 3 gal smart pots, also picking up some oxygen tabs, pump and airstone to oxygen saturate my water Like FD described

When the lights go off should I have everything go off with timer or keep the window fan blowing on them on? My house is always a little chilly, so dont want them getting too cold at night.

For fresh air IN, what should I do? Just cut a hole with maybe a filter over it? How would I keep light out during dark period through the intake hole If Its nec to put one?

And how do you calibrate this PH pen Pictured below? Its a no name but says my tap well water is like 14.5....lol So If I dont know the PH of the water to begin with how do I calibrate it?????

Below is my inline 6'' duct fan, Im gonna go into a reducer reducing it to 4 inch hooked up to the 4 inch dryer hose and to my $48 shipped from amazon 200 cfm filter/scrubber Also Pictured is my PH pen and the filter, someone please help with this damn pen!

I saw many filters online and didnt think I would be getting one because of the price of these things, but you cant go wrong at this price. now we'll see how it works. iT WAS ON AMAZON FOR 48.00 SHIPPED! they have plenty more!

And the fan was $26 at Lowes this is 250 cfm, my filter is only 200 CFM, but its only for a 3x3x7ft high plywood grow box, that should be ok, right???? That the fan is 250CFM and the filter is only 200CFM? I'm hoping this will keep it kool with a 400watt HPS

Just got some test strips today, My well water is reading 6.8

Hey dude just a thought here about the choice of extractor fan you are going with. I dont think it will be up to the job, it looks cheaper than the fan I am using (kitchen/bathroom in-line fan) through a cooltube with a 250 watt hps and it works fine but it would not handle sucking through a carbon filter as well. I have always grown 1 plant at a time so a filter was not needed, but I will have to purchase a new extractor fan in a few weeks as I have 2 plants going this time round and they are gonna stink!! With one plant you can get away with it but two plants will need filtering. I will be going for a fan that has a built in thermostat so I can set it to 25 degrees and it slows down or speeds up to maintain that temp, just perfect for what a cabinet grower needs. Ok the fans I am looking at from "Prima Klima" are 150 euros but well worth the investment. Keep in mind the room you are growing in will fluctuate with the actual outside temp where you live so a fan with a thermostat is ideal in dealing with this automatically.
Hope this is of some help.

try not to let them go below 10 degrees or above 30.

yeah if your fans blowing at 250cfm and the filter filtering and 200cfm then you get 50cfm thats not going to be filtered. I'd go for a 300+ fan and a bigger filter than 300. or if ye have already got it then you need a fan controller to lower the speed so your filter can cope.

keep everything else on when lights go off. keeps the air mixed up and no dead spots inside.

To calibrate the pen, try to rtfm :) just kidding, didn't you get a bottle of ph calibration fluid with the pen, it's set at a neutral ph and you adjust the ph on the pen in that until it shows neutral.

Hey man I'm happy to help with whatever you need here but it seems to me like all you need is to do Your own research and get a little experience under your belt. You got a nice set up going but as far as temps and lighting, that's all you man. We can't be here to hold your hand! You'll make mistakes and you got to learn from them. I'm giving You tough love man, you'll do fine, just try to find the answer yourself before you start asking.

As far as how close Your light can be, best rule of thumb is- if you can feel heat with the back of your hand where you want the top of your canopy its to close. Try to rig up something with a thermometer so you can read the temps where the canopy is at.

Passive air intake is the best you can have. Cut holes in the bottom of your box so the air can come in and put the exhaust up top.

I would personally get more cfm with a rheostat to control the speed.

Like I said man you got to do the research and learn as you go. You'll do just fine with some TLC and research. Didn't mean to come off like an ass, just got tough love man.

That isnt the exact fan, the one I have looks heavier dutier, its 250 CFM which if you do the calculations is way more than needed. I got it from Lowes, but I couldnt find a pic of it, so I just put that up so everyone had an idea of what fan I was using. I had one plant one time and it stunk up my entire house from the basement

No problem truu, as far as the PH I got some strips today, we have well water in the country here. Everyone has well water, not city water, I tested the well water today and its 6.8 so I should be alright with the water, I've tested it 3 times and its always 6.8.... As far as research, I've done about 50hrs of reading, learned quite abit, just brushing up on the basics that are now hazy that I read months ago....lol must be the ganja
