Fast Buds Hans' FastBuds LED Coco Autopot Grow - Blackberry / Girl Scout Cookies

Update: Day 25
Nice growth over the last few days, the blackberry is really hitting her stride now at 14.5", she's already got some nice side branching going on...The GSC is still a short little bush at 6.5" but looking good nonetheless. ;)
Still on same res but they have already gone through about 10L of that in 3 days.

Honestly from what I've seen and experienced so far soil just doesn't even compare to coco... it's more like growing with hydro but still having the simplicity of soil. I know one of the main benefits is it's pretty much impossible to overwater with coco, which is also why these continuous feed systems like the autopots or drip systems work so well with coco... If you're able to feed more often your going to get bigger plants

Thanks Hans, I think I'll experiment with coco for my next grow and see how things turn out... You can not go wrong with maximizing yield!

Hey guys, back with another FastBuds grow. Very excited to try out some of their latest strains... I was really impressed with the Crystal Meth I grew out previously so I've got high expectations for these two. Thanks to @FastBuds for kindly gifting me these seeds to try.

My set up is the same as before for the most part but this will be the first full grow with the new tent so hoping these will take advantage of the extra space. ;) Also in addition to my main two LED lights I'll be running a couple DIY COB LEDs, these are using Bridgelux Vero29 3000K chips with Meanwell drivers @ 2.1A/80w... These should provide a nice boost during flowering and hopefully give me some extra fat buds this round. :smoking:

Details for this grow:
Grow Area:
4'x4'x7' Mars-Hydro Grow Tent
4" S&P TD-100XS Silent Exhaust Fan and Carbon Filter

Lighting:
Mars-Hydro 400w Mars II LED (190w actual)
Cidly Apollo 4 LED Custom (130w actual)
2 x DIY COB LEDs (Bridgelux Vero29 3000K Chips @ 80w)

Nutrients/Supplements:
Advanced Nutrients - pH Perfect Sensi Grow/Bloom, Bud Candy, Big Bud, Voodoo Juice, Overdrive and Cal/Mg

Medium:
Mo’Koko Premium Coco Substrate with 20% Perlite added
Autopots have 1" bottom layer of clay pebbles

Pots:
2 x 15L Autopots with AirDomes

I watered both pots initially with about 1L of 5.7 pH water with a bit of voodoo juice and cal-mag at 1ml/l. Both are currently just under the Mars LED.

Here’s pics from today, day 2.

Hey Chief, thanks for tagging along. The Autopots+airdomes are amazing, definitely the best investment I've made for my set up.

Here's what the roots look like with these...

Which grows plants like these ;)
I really am Impressed with your autopot setup!

Food for thought.. I'm completely changing my setup next go around. Much larger light setup and double the tent space with an autopot setup. I'm running Advanced Nutrients already, just need to look into what will and won't work with coco. I switch from soil to ProMix and absolutely love it. Now, it makes me wonder if coco is an even better step forward.

I disagree that any particular form will grow more than another. Comparing soil to coco or hydro is difficult as soil relies on organic processes to take place vs chelated minerals. In a test of equal pot size, hydro will likely win. a fairer comparison would be alt least a 10 gallon pot for soil vs 5 gallon coco or hydro. And nothing is simpler than organic soil!
Yet coco does have an allure to it and that's why I'm trying it. its also a style of growing I haven't tried before. I'm just not thrilled about all that nute mixing, and periodic flushing, ph testing, etc......... Its so nice to just water and watch them grow!

Cheers bro, yeah I'm quite impressed with my autopot setup as well :p

Cool man, well... Autopots + Airdomes + Coco + Advanced Nutrients = Monster Plants... That's pretty much all you need to know ;)

Update: Day 29
Well the Blackberry is still continuing its vigorous growth, gaining about 2" a day... now sitting at 21.5". She's really opened up nicely, diggin the structure on her a lot  The GSC has gained a bit of height at 10" now but still waiting for the big stretch... hopefully. I made up a new res last night with 2ml/l Sensi Grow + 1.5ml/l cal-mag.

Took the girls out of the tent today for some better pics ;)
