Fast Buds Hans' FastBuds LED Coco Autopot Grow - Blackberry / Girl Scout Cookies

That sounds much better, rather than worry about the guy, or whether the plants went haywire. Thanks for calming the jonse for an update, atrain.

I really do think that blackberry has all the makings of a blue ribbon BOM...bring it home, Hans :yay1:

Hey guys, long overdue update I know... been crazy busy with work recently then had some family stuff come up so haven't had much free time lately. Also while I was gone the other week I had a bit of a mishap which resulted in my grow room losing power for an extended period, I'll give more details on that later... The good news is the plants seem to have made it through alright, definitely could of been a lot worse... I was worried about potential bud rot as there was no exhaust or airflow while the power was out and humidity spiked to 99% . I chopped the Blackberry last weekend and everything looks good though so hopefully the GSC buds will be okay as well.

Anyway, I know you guys want to see some pics so here's the Blackberry harvest for now. I'll do an update on the GSC later this week.

I disagree that any particular form will grow more than another. Comparing soil to coco or hydro is difficult as soil relies on organic processes to take place vs chelated minerals. In a test of equal pot size, hydro will likely win. a fairer comparison would be alt least a 10 gallon pot for soil vs 5 gallon coco or hydro. And nothing is simpler than organic soil!
Yet coco does have an allure to it and that's why I'm trying it. its also a style of growing I haven't tried before. I'm just not thrilled about all that nute mixing, and periodic flushing, ph testing, etc......... Its so nice to just water and watch them grow!
I wonder if a coco based soil mix will outperform a peat based, or regular organic mix. It'd be interesting to see the differences.

nothing you add has any affect on taste or "clean burning". And "flushing" only starves your plant to death. It is curing that improves flavor and burning quality by breaking down chlorophyll and sugars. High sugar content in what causes "black ash" when burned. and the whole thing of magnesium in the plant causing it to pop and spark is also a myth, it is physically impossible for a material containing Mg in amounts measured in MILLIONTHS ( 0.000001 ) of a gram to have any such effect.
It is cause by mites, etc exploding when the moister in them turns to steam or a seed, even a very dry seed pod in a bud that has gone un-crushed or ground can cause this.
rite on mang! yeah there cruisin along nicely with the half dose feeding of the 3 part humbolt co own nutes and the lower branching really shootin up good and now both around 18 inch and been pistils since roughly day 20(the g14 was pisting at day 14 for me last grow? weird) and yeah thanks for the heads up on space and judging by the pheno in your pics im glad i hav the xtra room ha! anyone add extra fulvic acid in mid late bloom? just curious as ive been hearing things bout adding more for a cleaner burning better flave prod in the end? thanks and take care,:smokeit:
