Hello, Im looking into these hand crank trimmer bowls ive been noticing some are way more expensive then others..the ones im thinking of getting is on ebay for around 200$

Anyone have any reviews..how fst does it work, how long will it take to do a #?
Its my understanding that they knck off some crystals, but if its just a bit im cool with that, ill just use it to make some hash. Thinking of purchasing one asap to help with a buddy's trim..just hoping for some acual user results..

thanks guys

I use one and love it.

There are several dealers selling them on eBay so some models may be better than others. Mine is all stainless steel, some have plastic tops. It also came with a bunch of extra wire blades and a flat blade.

It doesn't work as well with big buds, so you have to cut up the big pretty colas.

Takes about 20 turns of the crank and it's done. The crank has a socket so you could attach a motor, but that would be overkill and needlessly complicate the process.

Nothing is wasted. The buds I dry and smoke, the trim, and whatever trichs get knocked off, I use to make butter.

nice..thanks for the fast reply..really thinking of buying one.
how much can u do at once?
how much you think you can do in an hour without sacrificing quality?

i keep hearing the number one reason people dont like em is cuz it knocks off trichs..,hopefully that is just mostly talk..im sure it knocks off some but still ..might be worth it. I just have a bunch i could do and dont want to take a week to do it.

Butter or ice hash... hand trim the "end colas"...

Ok he is the deal with the hand crank trimmers... you first take the plant and trim all the buds off the plant, each down to whatever size you want to bag up...get a large 30+ gal rubbermaid to trim these buds into...trim all the plants down to bud first... then place a few handfuls of buds into the trimmer...and spin 20-30 cranks normal speed... then dump buds into a cleaner "tub" for further inspection as some may still ahve a leaf or stem you want to remove... then dry on screen or drying rack..

How much can you trim???? that depends on if its a 1,2 or 3+ person operation... It will take you "x" amount of time to trim buds off plant and then approximately 1 minute cranking and dumping/reloading for each OZ dry weight in the trimmer...:2cents::thumbs::peace:

Its not as good as hand trimmed but when you got to get it done, its an option...

yes trics will be rubbed off...:toke:

Hi Cres..thanks for the info..i think i seen you around UDG at one time if im correct.
I think i have some of your seeds that im looking forward to one day popping. :)
.i just want to get as much info before purchasing..im like that with most stuff.
here is one of the models http://www.ebay.ca/itm/190676984479?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Like if im going to take on trimming atleast 10#'s..i dont want to butcher buddy stuff.. so if these machins really compromise quality that much, i dont think i will be interested. Hopefully they dont.

ps. ive been looking at the other electric machines and electric shears as well but these hand cranking bowles really interest me

yes that looks to be the same type as the one I have/used... I wont use one unless mold has put the rush on my session.... or buds that are not par with quality, and need to be let go a a swag price.

I'm happy to hear it works great for ya rhapsodyrcks.
i followed your link..tried to buy that one.but they wont ship to Canada :(

Ill have to find another one..

Trimmers

I have one and love it! Hand trim those big beautiful colas, put all the popcorn in and spin that popcorn into majik! I never worry, all that goodness makes awesome concentrates, butter, oil for baking or topical use... So many options that nothing goes to waste:peace:

yeah deffinetly, im working out somthing with an ebay seller..trying to get one delivered here in canada asap and hopefully a descent price.
i get to keep all the trim im doing for a buddy..phopefully around 10#'s worth..so as you can imagine i wont have that much of a problem if it knocks a bit more trichs off ;)
Im planning to attempt to make some medicinal oil for my mother. So the more the better. i might make some bubble for myself..not sure yet, but rest assured NOTHING will be wasted.
