DIY Homemade tumble trimmer

How about attaching a drill bit to it so you could use a battery screw machine to run it instead of turning the handle yourself?

The persons I made this based off of has his where it’ll do that but if u spin it fast the buds don’t tumble and centrifugal force just holds em stuck to the wall! Found u gotta tumble it slow and swap directions every couple minutes!

Very cool. I agree the zip ties will likely need to be shorter. I saw a similar product that used dry ice, C02 tumbler, and a freeze-dryer to really expedite processing. Maybe something you could diy towards a piece at a time. Not sure what it does for terps but the idea of plants to jars in one day with minimal scissor slavery is attractive. I would take a hard look at their tumbler design to size your zip ties. I'm pretty sure the product is called the cryotrim.

The zip ties are added so that they can fluff the buds so they don’t stick together and then make trimming a pain! Be nice to try it in a plant that wasn’t burnt to shit from a massive ph drop! Made the leafs all thin and whispy so made em more difficult than needed getting them off!

So used again last night on the photo girls and holy hell it worked really good! I messed up with the grape slurri and let it dry a lil too much so lost more kief then I’d like but still frosty frosty! Luckily was able to save all the kief in the trim bin so it’ll get smoked either way! Screenshot after dumping grape dosi onto tray to put into trimmer and when back on tray to show how fast I was able to do it! Think I went lil too long on the grape slurri spinning while smoking a blunt! Got in a daze and just kept on spinning the damn thing!

That line was already in bin! Rest is what separated from flower when I dumped the tumbler out onto bin so I could jar it up!

Only 15 photos and haven’t figured out how to add video so here’s grape slurri! Think 10 min woulda done the trick here but too late now!

The pile on right is what I had in kief plus grape dosi added to it! The back left is what I got from dumping the slurri onto trimbin to jar it up!
REST IS WHAT CAME OUTTA TRASH FROM DUMPING TOTE OUT AFTER TRIMMING SLURRI!

Need to figure out a way to smoke this with the most success since no press and usually only puff blunts when I smoke my flowers!

Ya I was quite surprised how well it did on that 1 too! If u tumble it without it being really dry 1st takes a lil longer but don’t lose the trichs like I did last time! Could also be partly from these being photos so were caked in trichs way more than usual! Prob combo of the 2! I’m willing to lose some trichs tho since they’ll get smoked or go in edibles anyways! LONG AS IT SAVES ME THE STRESS OF MANUALLY TRIMMING! Shit drives me nuts now!
