I would stick to major breeders until you get you growing legs. Nothing wrong with smaller breeders, but if new to growing or need to go without a hitch get trusted genetics. Mephisto ships from US and is perhaps the standard in autoflowers. Dinafem is working on a US distributor as well. And let's not forget our AFN brother @Magic! He has some terrific strains out and plenty of journals to view here. I got some of his Bubba Trouble, but I cant run yet because his strains are larger strains which I lack room for currently. When they stop answering questions it only creates more. I dont want to buy something that's hit or miss, sounds like the dont have their autoflowering genes down. Selling semi autos calling them autos. Their is another US breeder called Aurora Winds Botanical did same thing, sold semi autos called them autos. They change their site and now label them as semi. As a buyer all I want is what I want. Nothing wrong if you want semi but I didnt and now I could have spent that money on full autos. I would love for them to come aboard on AFN. I think we could get some questions answered that way, and if not then we know buy at own risk.Yeah I’m STILL trying to get my Gorilla Glue to flower. She popped on 9/15. I called GC customer service 2 weeks ago and asked if I should switch to 12/12. The lady told me there was still “plenty of time” but I could switch the lights if I wanted to “be that aggressive “. I’d just like them to flower this year and maybe (maybe) harvest in January. This is my first time growing, so it’s kind of frustrating. I went with an autoflower due to the speed and to minimize complications on my first grow.
Not the first time I wished I’d lurked a bit longer on AFN before pulling any triggers. Probably not the last.
I’d picked up a packet of Critical Purple early on to run after the GG. They tout a 27% THC level on that strain so of course I was all over that. If you believe their numbers.
My next grow I’ll be utilizing a different breeder. Really grateful I found AFN and all the knowledgeable people here.
I agree! I took 1 look and said not for me. There're breeders in US I only buy from places that ship from here, just have to look. I always say you cant bullshit a bullshiter! If you give me the run around or I even think you are then I'm out. I know when I get a major breeder I'm getting what they tell me, that's all I ask for.:smoking: good point Mcdee, but I think any rep' that came here will spin and dodge and BS anything that calls their quality into question,...No real answers or accountability, just monkey-fuck back-peddling and lies... all the "free" replacement seeds in the world don't mean shit under these circumstances!
The term "semi-auto" has no real clear definition either, I've seem it applied to a few different levels of breeding,... all the more wiggle room for small time, late-to-the-game, shallow breeding rip off hacks and outright relabelers to pump out half baked or "stolen" genetics and run to the bank... ...hard pass!
I know if I ask Mossy about it, she'll tell me "bring them on AFN, trial by fire." @Mossy
@Son of Hobbes You know one of the Biggest plus point of AFN Testing and feedback is it lets the Vendor Know when they have a Problem.
Believe me..one Bad grow can destroy a vendors rep...and the Expense to them of refunding etc is not what they Want to be doing.
Test them on AFN First..........feedback will Help your resolve the problem......we call it Vendor Support.
The bigger the company..law of averages says the bigger the chance of a problem....Resolving it is where Reputations are made.....or broken...
Let AFN Help.
Psssssh, already reached out to 'em We'll see what they say
