Grow your own in the outdoor heat, maybe Australia!!

I have used biobizz bloom and grow since i started growing, it wasn't until i started growing larger plants that i found it lacking in heavy bloom. I now use canna pk13-14 from around mid flower until harvest. There's a few people running just biobizz but i feel it lacks in p in the final month or so, I grew out maybe 20 plants with just those 2 nutrients before i added the pk13-14 to my tool box. I do use biobizz bloom upto full strength and sometimes a little over to keep up. One thing i have found is it's a very forgiving nute to use but quite mild at low doses.
I have never used the power feed or potash that @smokeyfromau has got. I would recommend him purchasing some canna specific nutes if he can swing it.
How do the plants look after adding them? For me alot has to do with observation after i feed. If you are still not right into flower yet, then the need for any high phosphorus is not really needed yet.

@the green bandit - hey man....so you have used biobizz bloom before. Have you used it as a solo nute without any PK boosters? Does it have what it needs to get you through in regards to phosphorus at recommended doses?

I know he is a busy lad, but our friend @Waira is so good at explaining this kind of stuff.

@Weed Warrior, they look just as healthy, i guess 38 days old, have lots of nice flowers (white pistels) and leaves are nice and frosty around the pistels. More like filling out side wards than growing upwards. Sour Daddy migtht end up as one big bud lol, all white pistels around main trunk, though starting to fill out side wards a bit

edit - did notice one the stem wasnt all green, but apart from that super healthy that particular plant, maybe the biggest of them

Was just looking at your grow journal...yeah indeed they are looking excellent. Pay attention for lightening of the leaves...you will see any deficiencies coming if you are lacking in anything and are observant.

Excellent info on the base formula, and pretty much what i thought.

So we have been putting our seedlings outdoors in the sun gradually, mine is still only receiving direct sunlight from 5am until 9am and then from about 4pm until last light. If you don't have access to an indoor light these hours should be enough to keep your little seedling happy and healthy. Remember to keep a good eye on them for any signs of stress eg wilting leaves similar to over watering. I'm still feeding mine with biobizz grow at 1ml/lr every watering.

Plant of Health -Triple 10 - is very good for using as a base nutrient , as it says 10.10.10 - at 10 ml a liter , I use it at 4 to 5 ml a liter which will give me a 4.4.4 or 5.5.5. you get the idea . Then I play with the P.K.ratio as the plant progresses . This is basic . I do add other stuff . When you get the hang of the basic it is just a step away from mixing your own full mix , this is where the yields start to increase , You soil will be another big component of how you use your nutrients and its water holding capacity .

@Waira @hecno @Weed Warrior do any of you guys have a basic way for converting nutrient weight volume to npk ratios? A lot of products available at our local stores don't have npk numbers but % of n p or k by weight volume eg 9%n 4%p and 3%k. I had a look online for info on how to convert weight volume to npk ratios and was way out of my league:help:. I'm far from an educated man and struggle to understand what our local products npk is to offer much advice on hardware store nutes ...I hope this makes sense to you guys?

What is a good % of npk in our local products? I understand the NPK numbers on canna specific nutes but have no idea what % numbers we should be looking for at our local hardware stores. If used as directed by biobizz it's grow and bloom npk is 10.10.10 but like you I like to lift and drop my Npk inputs at different times of the plants cycle.....i hope this makes sense hec I struggle to explain things sometimes over a keyboard
Just go with % that is all I have ever done .

@Weed Warrior, so far so good with the girls but the Sour Daddy isnt as dark green as the bigger plants but appears fine, only issue is the nute tip burn on the leaves, i will be extra observant now ive added extra nutes with the powerfeed and potash. Canna specific ones as Green Bandit mentioned would be better. I am sure my 2nd grow will be easier once i get the hang of it

@the green bandit , I will be using bioblizz next round for sure and maybe the same potting mix, and for seedlings i found a biogradeable pots at bunnings. I can always use the power feed on other plants in the garden, gave the tomatos some this morning.

Simple ya heat raddled mate . Say ya got a 10.10.10 which is full strength . So lets say you want a 6.6.6 , so we use 6 ml a liter when you want to bump up the % of P .Lets say its 16 % , but I want a 6.10.6 . so 10 ml is 16 % , so 2.5 ml is 4 % add to your 6.6.6 and you have 6.10.6 . So we have 6 ml of base plus 2.5 ml of P to give use a 6.10.6 , want a 6.10.12 , Just do the same with the - K- . This is all I do .
