Indoor Grow one with FD

where do you buy your liquid seaweed?

I'm going on a bargain hunt and would like to compare prices

i can get it locally at one of the nurseries here in town and i pay like 6 bucks for a liter i think.
the lady that owns the place has stellar prices. Its where i get all my stuff for my mix.
Luckily i can walk in and buy all of what i need, she is priceless and she thinks i breed tomatoes :D

Love the tier method but wondering why you transplant at all. Would it not be easier to put cut solo cup in final grow container, fill solo with starting soil and rock and roll with no transplant at all? Seems it would eliminate a transplant and ANY shock related problems. Just sayin and askin. I am harvesting current grow next sunday and will be trying out my first auto grow then. Have your soil mixture sitting a couple weeks now, with the addition of some worm castings. Germing these auto's has been bothering me. I tried some that were given to me, very fresh, and used paper towel method and got 0 germs. Now I'm tempted to file the edges a bit but will try your advice and see what happens.

people moan about adding seaweed when there young its great stuff and they look ace

The soil mix is hot, if I start them any where near it they will turn male. I did what you mentioned above to some test betties, 9out of ten were male. I had the seed starter on top and my soil below. Started them like that and then Wa-la males  what happens is that the seed starter absorbs the ferts from below once you start watering, so they are introduced to the ferts too soon. Auto roots like to dive then widen, they look for the bottom before they start putting out heavy feeding roots. So with the absorbtion and the tap root the ferts are getting to the plant too soon.

Cheers agito

The kelp is more hormoe and amino acids with vitamens in there too. Truthfully it is more an additive than anything keeps what they need at a young age as the seed starter only has lime for pH and a wetting agent. No other additives just vermiculite and moss

Hit me up and let me know. If there is enough interest ill put the man hours behind it.
IM WITH YOU THOUGH IM MILES AND DAYS BEHIND.

Sorry to say I dont know what hit me up means.
This is a weak, late measure of support.

Instead of planting in the cup then cutting the bottom ill be placing a cup inside a cup to begin with. Once cup has the bottom removed and then the other has the bottom there with drain holes. This will allow a simple transplant when the time comes. Instead of cutting all you will need to do is remove the outer cup.
I dont think I understand this. The inside cup still remains. Do you slip this off just before you transplant? The only hole is on the bottom, limiting root growth, except straight down.

You understand correctly. Autos like to drop the taproot to the bottom on the container and spread out from there. They'll grow right out the bottom of the cup and fill the larger container with roots. When you're done with the harvest and pull the plant up, you'll see that it didn't waste a lot of energy on feeder roots within the cup, but the big pot will have plenty.

You understand correctly.

I really dont. You leave a 16 oz. cup with the bottom cut out on for the life of the plant? Just because its an Auto. But all the roots in the cup cant get out and it severely limits the root ball. I have never limited a root ball , mine go from paper towel to Jiffy plug to 4 oz cup to 3 gal pot.
