Indoor Grow one with FD

In my last photo grow i did a top above the second node to change the growth pattern of the plant.

Im rather new here and dont want to get too lost, could you provide links to the last photo grow?

Thanks.

why not fim at the second node and gain an extra cola

Sorry not sure what yall mean by stumpies (are they runts?)

the photo grow is under lock and Key, as it is part of a breeding project but i will bring some pics here to show the final result of the topping.

why not fim at the second node and gain an extra cola

ey....good question. Fim (Fuck I Missed) is not stable enough for me to try. Knowing what the exact result is before I do it was what i wanted here. I have fimmed before with photos and ill get 4 just a little higher on the plant. From what i always understood of the differences was the allowance of a taller 4 cola plant. It eliminates the center growth and pushes it out to the other 4 new branches.

What i mean by the above, if you for sure want a 4 cola plant, top (remove all center growth) right above the second true node.
If you want her to get a little taller and still have the 4 tops use FIM where you remove 80% of the new growth at the top of the plant

All plants that are topped above the 2nd node WILL NOT GET 4 or more you will have 2 large ones and several side branches or a super cropped plant the only way to get more that 2 above the second node is to FIM.

Ok little update

Seems that the gals are pulling through. Mush have got them in in time before the stunting got to bad.

HAPPY HAPPY! All 5 seeds germed! # shoed tails and 2 showed crack. Plumber seeds I guess. LOL planted all 5 in coco stuff sprayed top with water. Now waiting game. I did soak my seeds overnite. No filing, cracking or anything else. Used damp paper towel in baggie. Put on heating pad set on lowest setting. Worked great. Now waiting game. Temps here in the 70's right now. Supposed to be high of about 80 today so my heat problems are at least temporarily solved.

update again

Just another shot of how they are doing, the topped one is really starting to grow and it seems to have gone back into veg. Or at least for right now it has. There still is no sign of sex. I already knew it was female but when i topped it i removed all signs of sex

Good to see you mate! I was asking wiz if you'd been in, in a while?

Not to stumpy :D might get some thing worth while out of them yet!

K, finally seeds in ground. No cracking, scuffing, filing. Soaked overnite, damp paper towel in baggie on heating pad set to lowest setting. Think the overnite soak combined with the heating pad softened shell enough to allow self cracking. 100%. 3 showed tails and 2 showed crack. Plumber seeds I guess! Planted in 32oz drink cup filled with coco. Sprayed surface with distilled water. Temps in the 70'sF here so until lights go on no heat problems. My intake fan seems to be doing the trick. Dropping temps at least 35 degreesF. Have to get a better thermometer. This meat thermometer too inaccurate at low temps. Told you I was cheap.

I never bother to soak fresh seed I only soak if they are a couple years old. I think you are right-on using a heating pad on low setting. If they are going to go outside I just lay them on some wet soil in a small pot ond cover em with a little dry peat moss sprinkled on top. Like an 1/8 of an inch or so. this lets some air get to the seeds which I think really helps them hatch. If they are going into my hydro tank I start them in Jiffy Pots. I just indent the top of the pot with a lead pencil and plant them about 1/4' deep or less. It all works for me. To prevent damp off I just use some diluted black coffee works great I never get any damp off.
