Indoor Grow No.2 - Hippy, Mephisto, Cobs and Good Vibes :)

Here are a few notes for you, to help facilitate the learning process.

We help each other here, my friend. That's how I learned, by getting help and advice form the community here.
Ask, ask, ask.... Never be shy. There are only helpful people here. I am sure you have noticed this is not just another discussion forum. It's a lifestyle community, full of love and friendship. ;)

The DP Cookies is a good, heavy yielding strain. Half the plant went into jars, the rest for bubble hash. I think "the last week" for her lasted 3 weeks.

We must learn patience. For me, that was difficult. Only in my last and 3rd grow, I had enough patience to let the plants mature properly and not overfeed. You see, I'm a feeder...everone around me get fat, exept from myself...the wife, the dogs... Your goal is to be able to read your plants, to watch them and decide If they have needs or excesses.

Until you know what to do, keep a notebook. Write down what you mix in the water. Take note of how the plant responds, i.e. too much nutes gives burned tips. If you feed and see tip burn, you have learned and observed that it was too much N in the diet and base nutes should be reduced slightly.

At some point, you realise you don't need meticulous notes anymore, coz you can see if there are any nutrient excesses or deficiencies. You have be come a qualified gardener!
Then the real fun starts! As an qualified gardener, you can either be happy with that and enjoy our hobby, or you go to the real Masters and bug them with questions and ask for their opinions so you can optimize your grow, learn plant training techniques...what ever canna related question on your mind...ask. If the one asked don't know, you will be referred to someone else who might know.

This thread is for you to study. @HashMaster is the Father of Growers. He grew weed before I was born.

And this is for your lovely WCOG.

:slap:

Have you considered nominating your wcog for the Plant of the Month?

some wise word there

Elle you and my mum would be best friends! She's a biology teacher and always banging on about similar stuff.

I did actually give up baccy before and had a couple of vapes but the only one that did it for me was the volcano. Awesome bit of kit but not too handy!
Yeah probably mate, I did biology at O level, but have since learned much more about chemistry and physics - the way they taught those at my school just didn't resonate with me at all.

How long ago did you try? Vapes have come a long way since then. Yes the volcano is still one of the gold standards for many people, but the Mighty or the Crafty might be of interest. I can never remember which one @Itisi has but he takes it all over the place with him.

I can... I hate the smell of cigarette tobacco, rolling and straights now and don't get me started on what it smells like on your clothes. I can't believe I used smell like that... but the smell of a good cigar will lift me off my feet and drag me down the road...I've never really smoked them but love that smell.
Oh good, so I'm not completely alone in that then. But still, I've never been a smoker.

Sorry. Just seen this. They were £40 free postage for 5 cobs off eBay. The company was based in Estonia
Are you happy with them, wayward? I was looking at them too, think they've gone up a fiver. Are they 1212s?

Man one day we gonna meet up for a sesh :pass:

I am a true sound system man. Used to own a little company hiring them out and am a sound engineer also. Cannot beat the sound of a fookin great big rig, with waaaay too much bass and not much middle
We have a pair of Bose 802E speakers at home, they came out of a nightclub that had gone bust. Hubby has done repair jobs on them over the years due to perished cones, they are the absolute nuts! We need a detached house really so he can use them to their best advantage...

@Eclectic Elle She's still here! [emoji3] [emoji173]️

Go on Miss Elmlea, get some growth on! She looks good though mate.

I suppose I'd better go and update my own thread. I've lost interest in doing it since I started winding down LOL.

Thank you!!! :d5:

I have DEFINITELY come to realise this is way more than just a forum. It's definitely a community and I have felt very welcome from day 1 which is a lovely feeling. I am actually slightly shocked by how friendly and helpful everyone is, as I'm not especially used to that!

DP AutoColorado Cookies caught my eye from the second I saw it after trying cookies kush in amsterdam. I now have an obsession with any strain contains the word cookies and I've seen some awesome DP plants.

Patience! Now we're really getting to my issues! lol. Patience has been THE hardest thing for me over the last 9.5 weeks. I am a construction management professional by trade and everything must be done now! There have been a few occasions when I did not think I could do it and nearly pulled everything down. Thankfully my good mate at home was there to step in! I am learning slowly to be patient.

I am doing the notebook thing - brilliant advice thank you. I have no memory as I had far too much fun in the 90s so this is invaluable.

And finally, POTM? No!!! I am slowly learning to expose myself to criticism, but that would probably kill me at the moment

Thanks for the link above - I will study it VERY carefully.

You Sir, are a scholar AND a gentleman, I really do very much appreciate your help and time :pass:

I've not used it yet and i was kinda avoiding using the word as does not fit with my generation and the part of the world I'm from... but I feel I need to use it for this plant...

That's looking rather mighty and "DANK" my dear fellow....

Right I've used it now... I'm now down with the kids with my new hip canna slang.

Hahahaha yeah bro! Being a brit I don't know if I've actually ever heard that word used in conversation! lol

Thanks mate I appreciate it :bighug:

@hippy71, I am also a biology teacher.
I apply general biochemistry in my approach to growing and think in metabolic pathways.

I have given your and Elle's phone numbers to my Mum - she'd love to chat and will bend your ear for hours on end. She will never stop though! :muahaha:

@Eclectic Elle you would love my mum, but she would drive you mad!

I also had a crafty vape but found everything tasted slightly plasticy and warm. I did have a really nice sort of bulelt type one recently (can't remember the name, quality, not cheap) that slots into my glass bubbler pipe but..... there's just something about vapes that doesn't satisfy me. Probably because I am a massive baccy addict! I am going to try to get off the baccy with neat joints and my bubbler, THEN maybe I'll be better satisfied by vapes.

I do love the volcano though! Such a sociable vape.

I have a friend in Wales. We chat on skype 2-3 times a week and smoke a few buds together. The conversations are seldom shorter than 1 1/2 hrs.
