New Grower grow boss 1200 w led 10 band

The OP says he just purchased these ... no where does he request a sound thrashing for not buying AFN approved lights ... as luck would have it he may well be better served w/ lights that use less than 1/2 the amount of wattage stated in the ad ...

:Sharing One:

Sorry, that was not my intent, however others were replying like it was ok tyo get ripped off, just use them anyway. Well, if you do that, then as far as I'm concerned, your helping that seller ripoff someone else. If you see a true crime, do you report it, or pretend it didn't happen??? I'm sure the lights will work fine, however they are not going to come even close to the rated output he paid for. Is it ok for a business to do that to you???

According to the pictures, they even misrepresent how many chips the light has. They say 200x6.. I count 190.

I'm with you pop22, don't lie to my face and expect me to like it, or recommend that others like it. Nothing is worse than a blatantly dishonest product description.

I'd love to see some new brands of reasinably priced LED grow lights. Competition drives innovation. However, it also drives the criminal intent of the fast buck artist.

I'll sign up on the pop22 in green jeans team as the boot lace knot gaffer for a cool buck..... A properly tied bowline on a bight leaves a satisfyingly throbbing butt mark...... And with a little luck might catch some low hanging fruits on the return move....... As long as pop admits he is WRONG...... It's not artist...... It's artists, as in plural multiples...... Lol

I bought one of these lights and sent it back myself. What scared me the most about it was there are no heat sinks on the inside. They put just a flat piece of aluminum with the fans blowing on it. I hooked mine up to the Kill-A-Watt meter and it was only drawing a little less than 300 watts. Also there was tons of red in the spectrum. The auction stated there was IR but there was no IR either. The guy wasnt too happy when I sent it back, but I got my money and spent it on a Mars Hydro Mars II model for about the same money.

Agree with pop22, and nobodyuknow. Never heard of 6w chips even mars-hydro has a page warning people that 6w chips are being marketed and faked

Yep I got suckered with that one. my "900" watt light draws 247 watt, or, what 150 3 watt LEDs would run at, no finned heatsinks, the L:ED drivers are even unknowns, I couldn't find a manufacturer even using multiple search parameters and engines.........

lets see if I get an interesting email.Later I will email a couple of those resellers and see what kind of bullshit they tell me when I ask them who makes the 6 watt chips, who makes the drivers, who actually manufactures these lights. Then I'll say, If I buy your light and test it with a watt meter, and it is not within 5% of rated power, will you refund my money?......................

Hi all yes the lights I've bought look like they are fakes bought a Kwh reader on ebay hence the wait for the reply and there drawing between 345 - 365 W.
So I guess there really 600w led's. Has anybody else used lights like this and had a success story with them as I now own 5 of them. Bought the lights and the seeds for my new adventure before I knew of this forum typical should of done more homework and not been so trusting if it's to good to be true it normally is in my case.
