I hate to say this but your lights are probably fakes, in that, they are NOT 1200 watt equivalent. Get a meter and check the wattage draw. a 1200 watt LED grow light should draw 575-680watts. your are likely drawing less than 400 watts. I just got ripped off by an ebay seller. These light are sold under several different names:
Grow Boss
Diamond
super grow
king

I did get Ebay to refund my money. buy one of the wattage meter you can get on ebay for $15 - $20 they work fine and if I had not had that, I would not have known I'd been cheated. Now, I hope I'm wrong about this, but it is likely I am not. The tipoff should have been the "6 watt" chops. there are NO generic 6 watt chips. Philips makes some, but I guaranty you that’s not what in your lights, they are standard, Chinese 3 watt chips.

On the bright side if you had 5 x 1200 watt LEDs they would probably be too much for your space ... have you tried hanging them and seeing how they look ... ? I'd expect great results, maybe not the first time but after you get the hang of it ... Got a link to the lights ... ?

:tiphat:

A 1200 watt light using 3watt diodes should have 400 diodes 3x400=1200 watts.

Will get onto that ment to be a 875w draw on them and 200x 6 watt led they are bright to look at let's hope I've not been caught in the hype not left feed back on 2 of them if that's the case will open a dispute case.
many thanks for the heads up on that.

251875562524 that's the eBay number of the same light and company i bought off don't know how to copy the full thing sorry

After looking at the link below I'd say you're gonna grow some trees ... there are a lot of LED lights some better than others ... you didn't get the best but you didn't pay for the best ... I think they'll do just fine ... LEDs and Autos have a learning curve ... there are a lot of growers here that can help you through your first few grows .... assuming their power draw is as stated you have plenty of light ... 4000+ watts for 36 sq' is about twice the wattage needed to grow w/ LEDs ... but you should have great coverage .... check out my signature for a grow w/ 50w/sq' LEDs ...

On the upside if that is the case I've got 3000w and summer coming so will be far cooler. Will the 10 bands be a fake also?

Even if they are 400w actual draw you should have more than enough lighting going on in there to rock a bunch of plants. Id love to see your setup and look forward to seeing some awesome grows. Welcome to afn! (Btw my main light is a 350w draw led in a 3x4 area)

Hard to say about the 10 bands but mine are 11 and I'm sure they are not fake ... If you're new to hydro ... do yourself a favor and do your first few grows in soil til you have had a harvest or two ...
