Indoor Grow#2 Mephisto Chemdogging by Greenjeans:DWC/SCROG/CFL

Looks like a good plan, gj :)
I just popped a pair of Chemdogging, too! Looks like I'm a couple weeks behind you...
Looking forward to sharing the strain grow, Bro!
:pass::cheers:

Fantastic! Should be a fun ride! Do you have a thread going yet?

Day 19:

The deformity hasn't slowed her down one bit. Lilith has nearly tripled in size in the last 5 days. There was a Calcium issue that was due to a wild ph swing, but it was straightened out. Some damage was done, but I stopped it pretty much immediately.

New lights, nutes, tds meter, etc are in the mail.

Here is the Calcium scar..

Lots of branching going on already, too. I am now starting to train the new branching away from the pending LST, and bend her a little every couple of days to help her be ready to lay down when the time comes. A few more inches in height, and I will lay her over..

Hey greenjeans! Looking good! You get your led lights yet??

They should be here today or tomorrow.

Unfortunately, I believe I am going to have to hit the reset button on this grow. I have root rot going on, and the plant is not doing well. I think I am going to just chop her and get ready to finish the upgrades on the cabinet, get the LEDs in, and start fresh once that is done. I should have better res temps after the upgrade. Right now I basically have no control over it. There were just too many changes too fast I think. I would try to fight it, but it is just more trouble than it is worth when I am about to have to do a major cabinet upgrade.

It sucks, but I'll be right back up with a new chemdogging grow sometime next week, if not sooner.

Hey bro was randomly browsing the forums and came across your journal, Look into Dutch Master Gold Range ZONE Root Zone Conditioner. It helped out when I had some bad stuff going on in my reservoir. It also helped out with the root rot, slime... You name it! Give it a shot before you chop.

That sucks man, do you happen to know what the temp was in your rez? That's usually the number one factor for getting brown root mass.

I don't know the exact temp, but I am 99% positive that is the problem. It has been non-stop above 80 degrees in the box. That is the whole reason I rushed for the LEDs. I'm just a little too late. The LEDs, together with the lower chamber I'll be adding to the box should have a serious effect on the res temp I am getting.

I would take that advice, but I JUST dropped a ton of cash on all new nutes and additives and LED panels. I am not inclined to try and make a bunch of changes mid-grow, spend more money, and fight pythium. I'm sure I could probably get rid of it, but rather than do all that, and watch the yield suffer, I prefer to get my cab sorted out and just start back fresh..

Day 23: Final Update :(

Although I am tempted to try to cure the root rot as an experiment, I have decided that since so much change is about to occur in my setup, I am going to start over from scratch after the upgrades.

What I have already done:

I removed some dead root matter (More like it pretty much just fell off), and added Peroxide to the system. The roots immediately whitened up, but then reverted back within hours. I then changed the res and added the peroxide, and re-added it last night. The reservoir is just not staying cool enough. Hopefully the pending upgrades will have a serious impact on the problem. I knew this was a possibility when I started the grow.

Here is where she is right now.. Looking really sick.

The plan going forward is to install the LEDs, which will be here today, and add the lower cool chamber. The chamber will both help keep the water cool and give me more height to accommodate the LEDs, which will also help address cab temperatures.

I also ordered Dutch Master Zone, and a bottle of Physan 20. Hopefully these two products will give me the tools I need to prevent future outbreaks, and kill them off quickly if they do try to pop back up.

So I'll be back when the upgrades are complete and the new grow is about to kick off to share the link with you all.

Stay away from the Physan 20 I have it also, you won't need it (unless you use it to sterilize your equipment then that's fine) . The Dutch Master is going to amaze you, I promise!
