Indoor Grow#2 Mephisto Chemdogging by Greenjeans:DWC/SCROG/CFL

Here we go.. With a quite successful first grow under my belt, This is where my second grow will be logged. Sub up and stay tuned..

I am getting the box all set up now, and have two beautiful Mephisto beans soaking.

Subbed up here, if that ok?.. Always courthouse about the DWC and how it will be ran?. I have a DWC idea just need to see a few more before implementation.

Day 0:

Prepped the equipment.. Cleaned the box all up and sprayed down the inside with bleach water. Soaked res, airstones, and hoses in strong bleach water for about 2 hours, then rinsed thoroughly and filled with a peroxide/water solution and bubbled for a few more hours. Emptied it 7/8 of the way out and added plain phed tap water.

Prepped the seeds by soaking them in water until they sunk to the bottom. I left them in the water for a couple of hours after they stopped floating.

I modified the lid to my DWC. I felt the pot itself was too deep. The plants took too long last time to find the water. I cut the net pot and put it back into itself, which cut about 1 1/2 inches off of the depth. I used hot glue to make sure it stays together. Hopefully this will get the roots to the water a little faster. It also allows me to put a bit more water in the res when I top off.

I placed the seeds directly into rockwool cubes and into the system, and covered it with a glass lid to keep the humidity in.

Now it is a waiting game..

Just a quick update:

One of the girls is up. The other is struggling. If she isn't up by tomorrow morning I am going to pluck her out and put in another before it is too late. Since it is two plants in one res, they can't be too far apart! The one that is struggling is visible, but she doesn't look right. I'll document and do a real update tomorrow.

Okay, I have made a new decision.. I don't want to have a week gap between plants. I am calling today "Day 1". If both plants make it then so be it. If not, I will just be growing the one plant.

I am calling her Lilith.

I seriously doubt the other girl is gonna make it, but anything can happen. I will give her a name if she pulls through.

Well, I really hope my Carbon Filter works as well as I think it does then. My last grow (a lower odor strain) was odorless outside the box.
