Indoor GreenBean's Grows

Day 53 Banana Purple.

EDIT - I guess I'm a dumbass and deleted what I had typed. Anyhow, she is good to go now for the most part. She is literally 4 feet wide. So now she can just go UP. Everything is as level as I can reasonable expect it to be. Plant interior is nice and open so she can chonk up and out, and curl inwards, without too much worries. She's starting to form her buds pretty quickly. "Good timing" on getting this done? Or waited till the last minute? She's starting to get a little woody now. Accidentally split one of her branches from the main a bit. Not a huge deal, the usual thing. I just zip tied it back on nice and snug and she's rolling. From here on out, it's just watching her go and some routine maintenance here and there. Tight squeeze in the 4x2, She's good on the width of the tent, but she'd be better off in the 4x4. I think she would fill an entire 4x4 pretty easy. I tried to train her into more of a 4x2 friendly structure. But, she'll like need to be rotated and plucked to keep some stuff from bunching up against the walls and getting a little too humid in spots. So, let's see what happens!

Ogreberry is pretty much done, and she's not getting much light anyhow. So I will post an update when I yank her. Then I can get a couple small fans on the floor there to blow up into Banana's canopy.

Get ready to tie up each of those branches when those buds form and she chunks up. She's definitely a beast.

Hey everyone. When I say the weather here has been BRUTAL...I dunno if I can really get that across. We've been averaging about 110F for the past week. It's been insanity! It's finally supposed to cool by about 20F tomorrow. So I think I can finally get 20 out and chopped and start to get Banana into place for the next few weeks. Break out the high CFM bars and all of that jazz. Cause I'm not gonna be able to rotate the pot soon. So I'll have to open her up one last time and start tying branches into place. I'll try to post a photo update later.

Banana Purple Punch day 64. I’m not seeing any purple, but she’s chonking on up. She’s got the tent to herself now. Just chopped the Ogreberry which I have in a couple bags in the corner of the tent for now.

She’s probably got 30-40 days to go. So now it’s all about opening the canopy as wide as possible. I need to do more of that. Temperature here is finally dropping.

FYI - had more than a couple days when I walked in and the tent was at 88-89 degrees. Obviously not ideal, but I kept the humidity up to match and no problems at all.

I have two growing so I will see what happens. I just finished some Strawberry Banana and the bigger of the two turned purple.

I think people said BPP starting turning around day 50 for them? Maybe mine is behind because it's in a 7 gallon? Or maybe they had cooler temps to aid in the purpling? Dunno. It's not that big of a deal. Just gonna be my last grow for a bit when I take a little break for a few months. So it would've been kind of cool to see it.

Gotta say though, for a 7 gallon, and a plant this large- it is moving pretty quickly. Starting to die back a little at the fan tips which I normally wouldn't see for a bit. And she's bulking up pretty quickly.

FB states that it prefers "cold" temps. But it can be grown in a less than ideal climate. By the looks of it, it looks like it is worth growing again in a cooler time to see if it performs better. Wonder if I could've gotten her even beefier.

But there you have it in case anyone in the future World is reading this thread = if you are freaking out on your temps in summer, dial the humidity up to keep things in line as best you can. I will usually shoot for 80F/ 60RH, but if your temps go higher, then adjust the RH (higher) accordingly and you will likely be ok. And keep the air moving. If you can see in the above photos, I have one stationary fan blowing on the canopy top. One oscillator blowing up top. And then I slid one of the pole mount stationary fans down the pole nice and low to keep air moving in the lower tent.

Hey bro!

I’ve seen two phenos of banana purple punch so it may be possible that you didn’t get the one that turns purple. However, my temps were quite high-ish but I had tried to reduce them a little. I believe mine started turning purple as the buds were forming in week one or two of flower. I reckon if you can emulate a colder environment it will naturally force the plant to throw some purples and Colours out. Banana purple punch is my favourite to grow as of yet. Your gal is looking great And similar structure to how mine was. I’ve been looking into building octopots for my next grow.. thinking of just growing one or two this time around instead of four or five.. it can get cramped in my area.
