Wow, I didn't know MC was quite that affordable. Incredible!

Wow, I didn't know MC was quite that affordable. Incredible!
I bought the 27# 9900g bag for $80 and used ~1000g for the entire grow so 9900/1000 = ~10 One bag will last for ten grows! $80/10 grows is about $8.00 for the grow. The other products in the line are equally inexpensive.

One of the reasons I moved away from DWC was the cost of nutrients for 35 gallons of reservoir was really expensive at about $600.00 with H&G. That was just prohibitive for me. I got that down to ~$200. with the rock wool system and I was happy with that. Now $15.30. I might look at some DWC for next winter?

Definitely worth looking into for the future. As a new grower, I find it hard switching after I have had success, but the numbers are compelling.

I had my best yield in DWC at 1.56g/Watt. I have been chasing that with the drip/rock wool system running about 1.3g/Watt. .25gX650W= 162g or 5.7 ounces.

Because I am spinning my wheels waiting to get started on the next grow :hurry:I went over my records for the last grow I did with House & Garden nutrients in my drip to waste system and based on the actual usage (not product purchased). I spent $199.20 for a single grow compared to the $15.30 for GreenLeaf. Now don't get me wrong I grew good weed with the H&G. That represents a 92% savings - :woody:There is just no other way to describe it.

Now I still have to finish the cure on the Green Crack, Blueberry and Chem's Sister, then get a smoke test done but I have no doubt this is top shelf weed.
Thanks for the math. Now it looks like another investment of bulldog clips.maybe in your future. OH MY :crying:

That’s a very nice yield; fine job sir:thumbsup:

@Flipper I noticed you had a MC question in another thread and I was going to post this here already and thought it might help you.
First of all I always use a vendors entire line. The products are designed to work together; even though GreenLeaf says you can grow using MegaCrop alone I add in all of their other additives except the growth hormone regulator (I don't want that in my meds).

I run a drip to waste system in rock wool cubes. My drippers run 8 times per light period two hours after lights on to two hours before lights out. The goal is to achieve a 20% run-off of the total volume watered in one period. I have a three day cycle on the nutrient strength in my reservoir. For example day 1 starts at 100% strength the water level in the reservoir is maintained by a float valve from a top-off tank of PHed water. As the garden is watered the strength of the nutrients in the reservoir is diluted so by the end of day 1 it is about 88%. by the end of the second day it is ~ 70% and by the end of the third day it is ~50%. After the last watering on the third day I add nutrients to bring it back to full strength. It takes about 40% of the original nutrients to bring it back to where it started the cycle. At the end of the 4th set of cycles (12 days) I drain the reservoir and start fresh.

I ran my hydro style of growing at 80% of GreenLeaf's chart and had great success with it as witnessed by this grow. This was my first run of GreenLeaf Nutrients. In the next grow I will reduce the MC in favor of a little more Bud Explosion (P,K). You can download a spreadsheet I used for this grow here

The PPMs in the spreadsheet are off their chart and not calculated or sampled. Here is what it looks like:

Thanks MOG. Real nice aid.

Smoke report coming in tonight or tomorrow.

I pressed an ounce of Green Crack and an ounce of Blueberry. The blueberry is the top yielder at 4.2 grams the GC was 3.9 grams. The blueberry is the blondest I have pressed but it needed to be worked on the frozen pans as it was too sticky otherwise. The GC worked at room temperature. I pressed an ounce of the Chem's Sister and got 1.1g of rosin - very disappointing. No more pressing for it. I will probably give the rest away to some light weight friends of mine. It cannot be very strong!

As soon as I get the smoke reports back I will write up a conclusion for this grow.
