New Grower Gratefully green husband

End of week 10, day 70 update for the Sensible Seeds OG Kush autos. They are doing fine and the buds are still swelling up and filling in the gaps between nodes. The hairs are starting to darken and the frost continues to build. I don't think they are quite as frosty as the West Coast OG but they are much bigger. I gave 'em a good watering today hoping they'll put it to good use before they start slowing down. Another week would be good.

Thanks for turning on everyone. All questions and comments are greatly appreciated. :pass:

Hey smow! Room looks great bro, gonna get some good growin done no doubt and some tasty lookin buds you got there.
I may have an idea for the water penetration issue, @Green Goblin has some stellar organic techniques, and uses Castile soap which helps with water penetration and aids in preventing soil from going hydrophobic. No idea whether this is applicable to coco, but could be worth some research
:pass:
@Green Goblin how much soap per gallon or liter do we use? I has the same issue in a soil/coco blend!!!!

Fire one off for me [emoji108] HG

3 drops per litre if I remember rightly, with plain water and feedings
Thank you. Thats perfect!! Ive been battling this since my first grow. Ill try anything to help. For all the good they do, Its a definate downside to the fabric pots.

For sure man. In fabric too and on my second grow. Think it’s going to take a few rounds to dial in how much liquid to drop in the pots at a time! Watering slowly seems to work well for me though, gets much better penetration. Say I feed 1.2 litres for each plant, I’ll work my way alternating 300mls each, probably could give the soil even more time to absorb, but at least it gives it a chance. With watering like that, I can get about 2 litres into the 5 gal before any run off.

Green goblins got a great thread and grow journal that’s totally worth a read, especially if your keen on Organics and living soil. I may be wrong here, but he’s had quite some guidance from the member EOF, also worth reading up on some of his journals for sure.

It's no good for sure, roots don't air prune like they should and nutrients are getting locked up in the dry soil and of no use to the plant. I always water along the edges and let it pull to the center as much as possible. I'll have to see what these next pots with a perlite mix and a better beginning to feeding. Thanks for the info @Giant Flying Wombat , btw, what kink of soap, Dawn dish soap?

Dawn is detergent (synthetic chemicals) not soap as are most dishwashing products.
