Seed Bank Gorilla Seed Bank..

I just decided Id give a The Gorilla a try and I'll post back on the turn around. Business' change in real time and sometimes it's one bottleneck somewhere upstream in the management that gets eliminated or removed to free up some momentum.

Hi BknBits, I'm sorry your experience at Gorilla Seeds wasn't what you expected. MoneyGram has been a struggle for us & we've recently removed it from our payment options for the time being. We had hoped it would be more secure than sending cash in the mail.

The problem was that even instant payments from the US weren't available for us to pick up for a week or more in most cases, and all the UK agents could tell us was that the numbers were invalid. The people who do the pickups don't work for me, so I have limited power to change what they were doing, but I had several conversations with them about the lack of communication & followup.

In addition to our regular customer service department that offers support via emails & phone calls, we offer more personalized support on a number of forums that we sponsor as well as the Facebook page that's been spamming you. If you'd have reached out to the person I have monitoring Facebook, we would have personally seen that your order went a little smoother.

We've also just implemented a US phone number on a trial basis (I'm pushing for it to be permanent) to make it easier for our US customers to contact a live person. It's manned several hours every business day, but they do return every call as long as a number is left.

So, now for why I'm really here. BknBits, to make up for your experience, we'd be happy to send you some free seeds if you'd like to share your order number with me through the PM system I'm assuming this site has. I'll PM you as well just in case you don't see this response.

Again, I apologize for dropping the ball with your order,

~~Sherry

Stick with the better known seedbanks, you will have a lot less problems, and anyone can put up a website and pretend to be a business. Ask around on forums before spending your money, you'll be glad you did!

Props for coming on here Sherry from Gorilla seed bank. But like POP22 says go with seed banks that will process with in 24 to 48 hours have the tracking number to you. Herbies attitude and nirvana have great track records for me. I really like Herbies autoseed bank they give nothing but autos as freebies. I hope the best for Gorilla seed bank but until you can process and ship with in 48 hours you are going to stall in growth but I think you know that

Decent of someone from gorilla to come on explain and offer compensation fair play for doing that. Are gorilla and rhino seed banks affiliated?

Gorilla & Rhino share some of the same staff but are owned by different people.

I'm not here to try to persuade anyone to change their shopping habits - just make things up to the OP for issues that we could have been handled much better.

In fact, I'm really glad you guys pointed out the 24 to 48 hour with tracking issue. I always send links to these posts up the food chain to further pound home my points about customer service - so thanks for those observations. I'll make sure they're read.

I tend to only order from seed banks that have free shipping to the US. I love alibongo.

Alibongo is a cool site, but I haven't compared all their features to ours.

Right now, I'm using Barney's Farm CBD Blue Shark for quick price comparisons (because it's new & almost everyone sells Barney's Farm) and see that their price on a 5-pack is 32.99 gbp & ours is 26.99 gbp, so maybe they're making up for free shipping with the price of the seeds.

Plus, you can almost always find a way to get extra discounts from us.

Either way, you should order from where you're most comfortable - that's the great thing about the wide variety of seed banks out there today.

Again, I'm really not here to give you guys the hard sell on Gorilla Seeds - just trying to make up for a problem on our end with OP - but I'll be happy to answer any questions anyone has.

If someone orders seeds with you tonight how long on average would you say it takes to process and ship out the order?

It depends on when the payment is received, how busy we are & whether we have seeds on hand or have to get them from one of our suppliers.

Our goal is 48 business hours or less after payment is received & the numbers say that we're hitting our target over 90% of the time, but we, like everyone else, have isolated service failures. For in-stock seeds, we often get the orders in the mail the same day if the order is placed early enough in the day.

And, sometimes things happen that are outside of our control. For example, the UK had a 4-day bank holiday over Easter. That meant everyone over there (I'm in the US) took off work except for the owner & I think Royal Mail was closed. We ended up with a lot of customer complaints because of that. At Christmas, our biggest supplier shut down for 2 weeks and only thought to give us 24 hours notice (they'd never done that before) so we basically had almost no new stock coming in. That caused a big problem too.

The people who order stock & work the mail room don't work for me, so it's outside of my control - if there's a problem, I get to come in after the fact & take care of people in addition to the other things I do for the company. If I notice any patterns, I usually try to recommend a fix so that we can reduce future impacts.
