No, I use a heat mat and grow tray. After the initial soak in peroxide mix, the seeds go into a light proof lidded container which holds them in wet paper towel or cotton cloth in a vertical position. This container goes into the heated grow tray until tap roots emerge. Once tap roots appear, the seeds are planted either in peat plugs, or directly in seedling mix in a transplant pot. The plugs and/or pots are placed inside the tray with a clear lid over the tray to keep RH up. Temperature in the tray is controlled by an inkbird controller. I used to put seeds in a plastic container or ziplock on top of a router, but upgraded that setup to gain better control over temperature, and be able to keep new seedlings heated and with high RH.
Clear as mud?
Thanks for sharing. I think i’ll stick to the simple bag + napkin method for now lol.
I can use peroxide no matter which method I go with?
