12/12 working as intended? or the plant finally came around

Hey Ninja, I am sorry I haven't seen this earlier. I also have a gorrila Glue "auto" from Growers choice. After day 60, I contacted them because it wasn't flowering, and I wanted to see what they thought. They mentioned that some plants take on more of the photo traits than others and may need to trigger flower by switching to 12/12 until clear signs of flowering like new pistil growth. Well, I did that and after two days pistils were on all stems, so I switched back to 18-6. Everything stopped and vegging continued.

After a week of no signs of flowering progressing, I switched back to 12/12 and just started treating her as a photo. The only issue is that I have a GC Critical Purple going in the sameness reservoir and cabinet, so they both had to be under 12/12. It is progressing nicely now though. Looks like it will be a nice yield, but will be well over 100 days from seed to harvest.

My advice is to stay on 12/12 and just treat her as an auto.

Here are some recent pics. You can click on the link in my sig for more about my endless veg phase. Good luck bro!

Hey man, I would also recommend that you trim some of those large fan leaves, especialky in the middle to open up the lower budsites. She will want to have buds growing throughout the stem, with a lot of lowers sites. You should open up the canopy, so some light penetrate some to those sites. Don't go crazy, though. Just want to have more light go through the canopy, imo.

Thoughts on installing a second scrog?

The plan was to trim slowly I did a few big fan leaves on top and the underside I’ll tackle the rest tomorrow

But don’t big fan leaves help with sugar production

Can't help you there, Ninja. I was all about LST and defoliation on this, my first grow. Asked about the scrog idea, but folks told me that I would lose easy access to the plant and reservoir. Had some good advice from guys here, or both plants would surely would not be where they are now, maybe dead with the heat and humidity issues I had during the summer. Just passing on some things I learned , but you are right, it may not apply with a Scrog. Told you, I was a noob!

I’m working on heavy defoliation I have plenty of access to the reservoir and my plant the entire front of tent zips down

Sounds great, man. I have seen some great Scrog grows on here. I am tagging @Mañ'O'Green. I am sure he has some thoughts on the second Scrog question. Good luck! Will be checking in to see how you are doing.
