New Grower good yield?

For what it's worth, I bought a bag of FFOF a few weeks ago and I've got no signs of bugs in my grow. You can get a bag of perlite for under $10 at Lowe's or Home Depot. And a big bag of Coco is around $15 at my local hydro shop. If you're only doing three plants at a time, it'll be enough to last you a while.

As for dope-seeds and US shipping, that's an unfortunate development that just happened: http://www.autoflower.org/f16/dopeseeds-not-selling-usa-2347.html. There are plenty of other legit seed banks that you can still order from.

I use FFOF and so does my best growing buddy. Neither of us has had any problems from it.

Everybody makes a big deal about gnats. Yes, I've seen a few gnats, but that doesn't mean FF brought them. I've seen them in Pro-mix and Metro-mix too. They didn't originate in soil mixes, and if any of those little buggers get access to your grow from outside, you may see a few. But, it starts as a few and they are super easy to control. At least, I've never had a problem getting rid of them. I sure wouldn't spend a minute worrying whether I might see some gnats some day.

But, that's me. I don't worry about much of anything (even though wifey thinks I should sometimes). :peace:

thanks alot everyone for the helpful info.Im already ready to be back from my vacation next week so i can get this thing going

I was looking at that panda film and i was wondering if im supposed to line the inside of my box with it or what?is it sticky?

marijuana seeds.nl has great seeds if your still looking for a place to deliver to u.s., theres a hyphen or something in between marijuana and seeds so just type marijuana seeds into google or something. you might still be able to catch the end of their summer sale. and they are shipping really really fast right now. got mine in 4 or 5 days in california. plus they have alot of the taller end autos with a 100% germ rate(at least from my experience). all ten of my white dwarfs (two shipments i gave alot to friends) have been at least a foot and a half at finish with everyone being topped(a few grew to 3 ft plus)(we have had good topping results, not everyone does). but on the panda film (mylar) from what i hear it only reflects roughly ten percent more light then foil. it is the best you can buy but as to cost effectiveness foils where its at. works way better then just white walls thats for sure. and no you have to either glue or tape it somehow.

thanks alot man! someone told me that if i did decide to go with the foil idea im supposed to have the shiny side facing away from the plants is this true? that just kind of seems strange to me

also the dollar store has the shiny covers that go in a car windshield for a buck would that work? if so it would take 4 max to cover the inside of my box so that could be another cheap route to go

For the foil I use the shiny side. It doesnt seem to bother my plants at all. I did notice better growth after adding it to my closet over the white walls. As for the windsheild reflectors im pretty sure they use alluminum on the shiny side. two things to keep in mind. theyre alot thicker adding insulation to ur box and heavier so they need to be mounted well. Duct tape isnt going to cut it for more than a couple weeks.

I still think painting your grow room white is as good as any. If you have a light meter and point it at a white wall it will read just as high as a foil wall. They used to make insulation sheets with tinfoil on one side of it. about 1 inch thick styrofoam. I don't know if it is just a Canadian thing but one of our Breeders group uses that inside his grow room and likes it.

Mi5 is one of my personal faves as well, and its a good starting point for breeding your own varieties. until anyone shows me proof to the contrary, the best yielding autos come from AK 47 lineage. Not sure why, ask axis maybe, but shortstuff seeds is a great place to start.
