all i have to say is thank god for the carbon filter. I have one on my setup and one for backup. I cant afford a mishap, and i have been breeding to the skunks and TCP smells

Oh yes....carbon filters are definitely part of a successful STEALTH grow ! Some of our ladies in waiting have a very dank stank to'em!!!

I'm not very experienced but I started with lowryder #2 then went to la diva, big bang auto and now back to the lowryder. I find it fairly easy to grow as a novice but I have a lot of room for improvement.

There are many factors that affect the plants growth and lowryder seems best suited to my environment. It is a bit stinky though

Thanks everyone for your comments I've decided to order a couple seeds ..diesel ryder, onyx, Mi5, and russian rocket fuel. I'm thinking of going with the single seed centre, has anyone ordered from them before?

Also a couple quick questions. The box i've built is 2ft x 2ft x 5ft tall i'm wanting to go with a 150w hps and already have 4 26w 6500k cfls that im planning on putting in there would that be ok? and how much heat will the hps put off? i'm planning on buying some small fans and mounting them inside my box so there will be some airflow and ventilation. I just dont want to burn my house down lol. I will probably end up going with ffof soil and growing in 2 gallon pots. Does that sound ok? Let me know if it sounds like i'm starting off with bad ideas i have a week and a half before I start this grow because ill be on vacation all next week so I have some time to work with.

i dont know how many you are planning on growing but 2feet x 2feet will only be enough room for two plants tops. especially if your using two gallon buckets. if i were you imo i would use 8 inch half gallon pots. thats what im using right now and my white dwarfs are killing it. 20 and 14 inches tall at 45 days old. i topped mine too so in reality they are 40 and 28 inches tall. and if smells going to be a problem stay away from the white widow family. omg. i wanna put it in my nose and smell it all day.

Pot size will determine the final size of the plant as well, don't forget this - I'm a big space crammer. I try to cram as many plants as I can into my 600W HPS closet.. if they don't fit, they go under the 2 LEDs.. if they don't fit they go under the CFLs. My 600W closet is 3'11"x1'11"x8' and I can fit about 6 plants in there crammed in nicely in tall 2-3 gal pots. I was using 1.2gal pails and I could cram about 12 of them in there with no worries. Air circulation is key in plant cramming though, otherwise bud rot is inevitable!

I would like to have 3 in my box so what would be the best pot size for that? I need to get these thoughts out of my head about a huge yield because this is my first grow and i know that wont happen, btw thanks surffreak for making me realize that yield isn't the most important thing, i just need to worry about keeping these babies as comfortable and healthy as possible and just getting through my first grow. Would the light set up I want to go with be enough for 3?
