New Grower "GodAmJT's Perpetual Greenery"

Chester: What kind of vape do you use?? A friend of mine has a sweet volcano vape, maybe Silver Surfer?? I liked the idea of a pen-vape because I travel a lot.. I haven't heard too many bad things about pen vapes except the batteries don't always last that long, or they only use tincture/hash.. I've seen the ones that do both, but I was hoping for some opinions from people on here as to what their preference is. I'd like to get one by the time this bud is done curing so I can taste the full flavor of this beast!! :) :)

Hey bud, check out the Vapor Chamber for lots of good info: https://www.autoflower.org/f162/

One thing with a lot of the pen vapes is that they end up combusting the weed rather than vaporizing it. Definitely read as many reviews as you can before picking one up. I would strongly recommend the Arizer Solo if you want something that travels well and can be used as a daily vaporizer around the house. I have several vapes including a SSV, but I find that the Solo gets the most use by far because it's just so damn easy and quick. I can finish a session in well under 5 minutes and the quality is great. Plus it's very easy to use so you can share with someone who has no experience with it. A lot of the other vaporizers have a learning curve to get good draws, but the Solo is just like drinking from a straw.

Not sure a Vape is the best way to taste the full flavor of the weed ... I find I need to smoke mine now and then to enjoy the full flavor after a long cure ... I have an Iolite that is about 6 months old and really only used a couple times .... I just can't seem to get the hang of it. I also have several Vapir NO2 ... I like to keep one in the car w/ a car charger and it is my go to Vape at home ... it works for me but it is far from the right Vape for everybody ... I had my first NO2 about 6 months before I really started using it and now I'm 99% vape ... A good vape isn't cheap ... there is a Vape forum you should explore before spending any $$ ... http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vaporization-temperature-dependent-selection-of-effects.1637/ I'd like to find a good, fast, one or two hit portable Vape ... I never got the hang of the MFLB ... as more states legalize there will be a lot of great Vapes invented ... Be sure to add a review of whatever you decide on after you get used to using it ...

Holy shit, I just saw these entries today!!! lol Thanks for the information guys!! I have been in the middle of moving apartments so I haven't been on much and I've been trying to catch up on other threads, but I will be checking out vapes in the next few weeks!!

So here are the updates, and I need to see about getting the thread title changed to make this a perpetual thread.. These are the Jacks!! Specimen #1 is the Dinafem Critical Jack Auto, week 2-ish and #2 is the mongoloid from Zambeza Auto Jack Herer that has bounced back pretty well!! I love how thick the stalk is on the Dinafem already!! I threw some Silica in the 275ppm-ish mix and I think that, with the strong genetics are gonna make for a successful grow.. They're at my friend's house in his veg room under T5's I think on 18/6.. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures.. Batteries were dead in my camera..

So I keep forgetting to get pictures when I go over to my buddy's house to take care of my plants.. Since they're still small and haven't shown pre-flowers yet, I'm not too excited about pictures, but I started LST'ing them.. I'm going sorta mild on the LST just because I can't be there for the plants every day like I'd want to. At the earliest, I won't have my tent back up until next weekend since we can't move into our new place until then.. I was hoping to get my plants under my LED soon because I didn't realize that I'm actually at or over day 30 on both of them (the Zambeza seed bounced back strong and is about a week or so older than the Dinafem). The Dinafem stretched a bit, because my buddy has them in his veg room under T5's.. I was kinda shocked after not been there for a week and my plants were nearly as big as his photos that have been vegging for 2-ish months.. I'm just hoping that my plant doesn't start to show sex until the end of the week so I don't feel like I'm missing out on my plants' lives!! The Zambeza has more future bud-sites from what I can tell, but the Dinafem seems a whole lot stronger and more hearty.. I will hopefully get some more pictures tomorrow when I'm there.. I've been feeding them differently than usual (since I don't have my top-feed set back up again).. I fed them near a 500ppm solution on Friday, but I let the rockwool soak in it for about 15min then I drained both pots.. My buddy has been just watering them with pH'ed RO water, and it seems to be doing just fine.. I thought the ppm's might have been a little high the previous week at 350-ish, but no over-abundance/deficiency signs..

Anyway, pics to follow soon!

So for this update, I wanted to use the crappiest cell phone pictures I could take, so you could really get a sense for the fact that it's a plant, and it's growing.... In all seriousness, the plants are doing well, although I will say the Zambeza is starting to impress me.. Node spacing is a bit tight but I bet this thing will have another growth spurt.. The Dinafem is getting tall and my initial attempt at LST is a mild failure since apparently the plant was stronger than the ties and even after twisting them to the airpot 2.7 million times, they still managed to bust it loose.. Anyway, as I was trying to gently lean it, I kinked it.. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.. It wasn't bad, and it didn't break anything but DAMMIT!! The only reason I'm a little leary is that the Dinafem decided today was the day she was gonna show her naughty bits.. :/ Let's hope the damage is limited and maybe it'll make the plant a super-hero..

Anyway, crappy pictures..... Now.....

They look green and healthy ... I often worry my nodes are too close and they always surprise me when the growth spurt hits ... Good Luck w/ the grow ...

For LST I use lightweight plant training wires that I get in the craft section of WalMart ... they are cheap and work perfectly ... I drill 8-12 holes in the rim of the pot ... I make a small hook in one end of the wire ... hook it over the branch and poke the other end through the hole in the pot ... bend it at the pot to hold it in place and cut off the excess wire ... Less than 2 bucks for a lifetime supply if you save them from grow to grow ...

:tiphat:

Thanks for the tip!!! I'm honestly getting super-anxious for this weekend because I get to set my tent back up and bring my babies home!! Lol then, I can get a little more serious with some training and getting more light on them.. T5s are great and all but he's only got 6500K bulbs in there.. hopefully by Sunday, my plants will be soaking up some LED/CFL goodness!!

Hey God just to let ya know.... I'm following you.......

Welcome aboard Freelivin!!

Soooo.. Since I still don't have my plants in yet because we finally got moved in, I'm going to finish setting up the tent tomorrow and doing a test-run with the new pump.. I'm doing 2 plants, which is a little different since there's more moving parts, but one reservoir with a couple extra gallons of water/nutes should be good to go.. I have a bit more space to maneuver in this apartment's room and I may take the inline fan out of the tent and just leave the carbon scrubber in there to save some space since I'm going to be throwing some CFLs in the tent with the LED panel for this round to maximize what I've got for lighting and space.. This Summer's temperatures have been EXTREMELY mild and it's been great, so I'm hoping it stays that way for the rest of the Summer so I don't need to run an AC to keep the area cool..

In the mean time though, I decided to celebrate by making a solid recipe for Canna oil using coconut oil as prescribed. I made about 1.5-1.75 cups worth since I had about a little over an ounce and a half of some decent-to-high quality trim.. The process is a bit drawn out, but it's absolutely necessary for the reaction to maximize its potential. I haven't had a chance to make anything yet or even test it out since I wasn't sure if I should just slug a half-teaspoon worth and hope for the best but tomorrow I'm making a batch of the peanut butter cups and a batch of good ole brownies.. With any luck, I did a good job and I'll be on cloud 15 after I eat one of each!!

Plants should be back in the tent by Wednesday, so I'll have more to update then, and even an update on the canna oil results..
