New Grower "GodAmJT's Perpetual Greenery"

Checked on the plants this morning and realized I needed to chop one of the Jacks.. The thing has looked like shit since mid-grow, and since it shares the same reservoir as the other plants, I couldn't necessarily amend it to work with the deficiencies.. She had what I thought was the best bud structure, but part of me thinks the LED panels bleached some of the leaves, while also having some sort of P/K deficiency.. No matter.. After the trim, it's a bit disappointing to cut down plants this small, but when I checked the trichs on the top, I had nearly 20% amber which is a bit more than I'd like to see, but I'll take it, seeing as the bottom HALF of the plant is almost all popcorn buds and junk..

Also, good thing I did cut when i did, as one of the few GOOD buds had some rot in it, so I had to toss it; probably about a 1/8's worth of bud (once it's dried), so not a major loss, but I hate losing ANYTHING.. The other 3, I worry about the mold/rot because the structure is so tight and compressed towards the main stalk that I will just cross my fingers and hope for the best!! I'm ordering a new dehumidifier tomorrow, as the one we got for free with the house; albeit it was free, is almost 30yrs old, and I was hoping for something a little better on the efficiency scale, as well as one that doesn't randomly turn off.. With lights off, RH has been making it up into the mid 70%'s, so I think if I can get it down into 50's, I'll be okay.. My organic plants are blowing up, and I may actually transition this thread over to there, or maybe end this one, as I may not be doing my more hydro after this.. It's tough to say, because I am tempted, but I wanted to get some space, and maybe run a handful of soil plants at once..

Anybody know off-hand, how long the NLxBBs usually take to finish?? I feel like at this pace, they'll be done in a month or so.. I fed them a Heisenberg tea today, and they'll get a full watering with molasses and a little bit of fulvic/humic acid probably towards this weekend.. They are showing ZERO deficiencies, which is fucking amazing in my mind!!!

Off to the pictures...

Always coming through with the info!!!!!!! Thanks Chester!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna be faced with a similar situation you are, with regards to temps, and I'm not really sure I want to fight another grow, the whole entire way!!!!! I was hoping to try these NLxBBs in the hydro because their vigor is phenomenal!!!!

However, I just conferred with the accountant :cough:wife:cough: and if I can get my shit together this week, I'm gonna order a big pack of the Blue Mystics!!!!! I am gonna keep them soil for the time being, and I may run a couple of the Candy Kush I got from Herbie's, so I can get a nice, tasty array of buds!!!!!

:pass::pass::pass:

Most of the first plant is dried, as a lot of the buds weren't very big when I cut them off the main stalk.. The main cola is still about a half a day away from being done, but all in all, not the best but not the worst for one plant.. Those 2gal-equivalent airpots were definitely too small for this strain, I believe.. Regardless, 21.9g of bud (without the main cola), and 5.2g of trimmed frosties/popcorn.. I don't expect to lose much, as the hygrometer has been holding relatively steady at about 56%, so I may have dried them too quickly.. Oh well; my first harvest in well over a year, so I'll take it!! In fact, it ALREADY has the sandalwood/peppery smell that I remember it having, and the buds look VERY frosty!!!

The other ones are starting to fucking kill me!!!! I'm at day 120-something, maybe more, and the trichs are still mostly clear, and about 30% cloudy, no amber.. I WANT TO CHOP THEM SOON!!!!! I really REALLY wanted to get both of the NLxBBs under their own respective panels, and take out the KingLED to swap it with the UFO, as temps are starting to rise outside and inside.. It doesn't look like the NLxBBs are going to be disappointing, as the budsites are growing, and I believe the stretch is finally done..

Either tomorrow or Friday, I'm gonna be dropping some Candy Kush by Auto Seeds, although I'm starting to get a distaste for semi-off brand seed companies, so I may instead do the Dinafem WW XXL, or Dinafem Sour Diesel Autos.. When I ordered seeds last time, I went kinda nuts, and ended up getting a bunch of photo seeds, so I know my time is nearing where I should start looking into growing some photos..

Dammit, I hate all of these options!!!!

Since I discovered autos my only use for photos is to start them indoors til they are little bushes then move them outdoors to soak up the sun until it's time to flower ... autos are just too fast and easy to dick around w/ photos and avoiding light leaks ...
:pass:

Thanks for the rep Chester!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can seriously hope to grow as successfully as you, someday, and I think you're absolutely right with regards to the photos!!! I have a bunch of Grandaddy Purple seeds from one of my best friends who died a year and a half ago, that he gave me about a month before he died, that I really want to grow because honestly, it was the best damned weed I've ever had, and the fact that he pheno-hunted this strain, makes it more special in the sense that I get to sorta re-live our times spent hanging out.. I wanted to try another photo first and clone it, to see if I can get successful clones, so when I DO start these GDPs, I will probably ALWAYS have one in the tent/box.. I plan on re-starting my tent, seeing as I have a ton of hardware for it, and don't want to take it down.. As of right now, it's going to be my drying area, because I can work on environmental controls a little better, and it won't need lights; just the smell abatement.. I had LITERALLY just bought a brand new carbon scrubber and 4" fan, that got maybe 2 weeks use before I had to upgrade, so I think that will work for now!!! I still have my first wooden grow box that I used for my first grow, that may take the place of the tent down the road, but it needs some modifications to be perfect..

So much to do, and so little time!!!!!! I go in for foot surgery on Monday to maybe help with some of the pain, but from what the doctor says, this is probably just going to slow it down..

Ouch ... I had my metatarsals resectioned about 12 years ago ... good luck w/ your friends weed ... :pass:

Another good catch tonight, as I just went down to check on temps, and saw funkiness on one of the plants... White mold.... Motherfucker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Calling this now; NEVER buying another Zambeza strain AGAIN!!!!!!!!! Every plant I've grown of theirs thus far, has developed some type of mold, and I'm worried about the other 2, because now, I'm starting to cut into my stash.. I can stand losing a few buds, but this was the entire plant; the biggest of the original 4... I moved the fans around, and hopefully didn't kick out too many spores, but damn, am I fucking mad tonight!!!!

Well, that fucking sucked.. Just chopped the last 2 down; both completely infested with mold.. I found a handful of buds that might have been worth saving, but I just tossed them anyway.. There's no use in hurting myself..

What a bummer... I'm trying to stay positive, but I just lost 3/4 of my harvest, and don't think an ounce of dried bud, as well as 4g of oil is gonna last me until the chop of the NLxBB, so I'm gonna have to conserve.. At least my NLxBBs are cruising along.. I feel like they may be done by the end of July?? Not entirely sure, but if Chester's averages are close, then I'd say it'll be chopped towards the end of June, maybe around 4th of July weekend.. They're both roughly 20" and not super-bushy..

Dammit..

I started these WoS NLxBB plants roughly 9 weeks ago, and am using Roots organic, on top of a homemade supersoil recipe, very similar to subcool's.. The plants are under their own MarsII 400w eq. light, 19hrs on, 5 off.. I picked both of these plants from the group that I germinated because of their vigor, and they looked great up until 2-ish weeks ago.. My wife had been taking care of the plants while I recover from foot surgery, and she neglected to water them for a couple days after she was supposed to, and she tells me they're wilted.. I have her soak the soil (or so I thought), one of the plants bounced back a pubic hair, but has been yellowing since. I've removed the majority of the fan/water leaves because they've just about all died off, however a lot of the sugar leaves are still very green and healthy looking. The healthy plant was just as dry as the unhealthy plant, but the healthy one has bounced back and looks like it'll be ready within the next week or 2 to be chopped. I'm thinking I may chop this not-so-healthy NLxBB, and just salvage the buds that are closer to being done and make oil out of the rest.. What a pain in my ass!!!

None of the deficiencies started showing up until the plant was excessively dry, and now, it's like it is doomed.. Could be worse though; at least I grew 2 of them..

Thanks for any advice or help you may be able to render!!!
