If you can swing the LED, then DO IT (sorry for the shout ;-) ), it's well worth it and gives effectively better yields!! I know because I used a 240w LED for a couple of years (treated myself to that when I got a bonus at work) and if I could swing it right now, I absolutely would do it. Unfortunately my finances don't allow it at the moment and my 'old' LED light is in great need of repairs because a few of the blue diodes burnt out and it seems to offset the lighting angle. I pretty much killed nine seeds with the broken LED before I caved in and invested in a 250w dual cfl.

Using LED in the past showed me how effective the light is in comparison to cfls, meaning even in young veg age, the leaves grew to massive sizes. Especially a sturdy strain like the Pakistan Ryder demonstrated that effect to me.
