Ahaaaa!
Alright, yesterday I put the 4 fastest seeds into jiffy plugs, then today I check on their progress.. nothing. They've completely stopped. Same temps, same box, only difference is that.
Could be there's something wrong with those or the seeds have become a bit more picky with age. Time for a test then: I'll hydrate a bunch of seeds and place them in 3 different media:
Watch it be the fact that I hydrated these pellets with straight tap water and the osmotic pressure sucked the seeds dry..
- Expandable plugs, straight tap water (different company this time)
- Expandable plugs, half strength feed
- Tiny pot with Canna natural, straight tap water

Hi DruidOkay, I should wait until i got pics or something but i'm just too excited. Three already popped open and are dangling their tails in the water for a little swim
Moby Dick baby!
Now I got a different problem tho: I've got a tiny tent, do I grow one big one or three small ones? And do I put them each in a pot or all in one giant one? Never done a sea of green, I imagine it'd be tedious to water..
Hi Druid
at the moment I have one in an 8 litre pot in my 2x2 but as I want to grow out more strains I’m going to try a sea of green soon but using maybe 2 or 4 litre pots. You could maybe do one large plant to fill the jars then go smaller?
Oh and welcome to AFN. Great community right here
Did exactly that, a breadbox. That's why I was so perplexed when they suddenly didn't progress anymoire as soon as I put them into the plugs. When you transfer them to the plugs, put them into a small plastic box and snap the lid on it. Put the plastic box on something that has gentle heat like a water heater or computer case. The seeds may be too cool. The box will also help maintain humidity for the seeds.
I've got some 7L pots over here, does the plant fill out the 2x2 space in that pot?
Thanks
