Outdoor Get yer toms out

All looking great guys , Ribzzy , I love peas but have not had much luck with them in the tropics . WWWillie some mighty fine plants you have there . Ok Smokey , where is your Tomato plants . Bugs I have plenty of , later in the year fruit fly is a big problem they sting the tomatoes , that is early October , which is the end of tomatoes here . Bush turkeys eat what ever they can get but the netting stops them . Leafy greens , caterpillars are the big problem , Next year I am going to net them which will stop that problem , I was going to this year but could not get any more netting .
Hey Hecno, i will update on the feeble tomato plants this evening. Fruit fly is a big pest down here, I got the turkeys also, seem more interested in trying to dig up my seedlings lol, not the vege garden.

May have to join you all in this tomato fun!

Last round of indoor plants, along with my DWC lettuces, I got some tiny dwarf determinate toms.
I put three plants in one 6L pot. They were tiny! Maybe 20cm tall, with lots of little toms, very delicious!

So this time, I wanted some slightly larger toms, and got "small fruit" not determinate seeds.
Well, the fruit may be small, but these plants have quickly hit my 70cm tall grow space ceiling!
I am now practicing my LST skills, with super cropping, the works, on two pots.
Have them trained around the upper edges of the grow space, around the COBs.

And then underneath I have my little DWC lettuces, some scorpion X carolina reapers (still rather small).

And other things that I can cram in there.

Pics are from a few days ago.

I don't have a tent, the space is open, on an Ikea standard shelf, COBs on top.
I have just bought one of those windshield covers that reflects the light / heat,
and I'm going to wrap it around the top to increase the side lighting.

Hey Now,
Things are going great. Had an invasion of cucumber beatles. Under control now, took some Sevin unfortunately but I used only a few drops. Using yellow sticky boards and manually killing as we spot them. A lot are hatching out of the dirt and we get them then. Today there were none in my squish flowers!

I spray weekly with Trifecta Crop control, mostly for my canna babies to prevent worms.
The garden is exploding!!

Hey @hecno !!

I hadn't seen toms this small (tiny!) before either.
My papa has always grown regular tomatoes, but these little things... are perfect for indoor micro grows!
I think they would do fine in the tropics, as I'm sub-tropical already, and lowest winter temps around 15C.
The problem may not be the temps, but outside these are so short, the rains would invite fungus and stuff down low.

Would love to be in northern Queensland, the weather there is fantastic, I love the heat!

Dad 1- Boy 0 - :cooldance: :cooldance::cooldance: Black Russians they are , the lads went 245 gram and mine went .
