I love everyones plants here, some real beauties. It's getting on for that time of the year here, the odd flash of red as I walk up to the greenhouse.

Tobacco plant, for some Christmas/New Year blunts

Baby melon, Prescott fond Blanc, this plant has given me 6 melons, lets see what occurs now

Sweet peppers, yellow monster, living up to it's name so far

I plucked these 2 monsters today. Just shy of a kilo together :woohoo1:

I did a little happy dance after clipping these, I'm staggered they got so big. A pound of horse manure short of a kilo :crying:

Do you side shoot your cucumbers? I see some people say no, some people clip at the second or third node of a side shoot, some sideshoot the suckers like tomatoes, all the way back.

I went for the 2nd option, I'm clipping back the side shoots at the second node, it'll be interesting to hear your tactics

Hey Now,
Wow, it just keeps getting bigger! Nothing red yet in tow-materville, but I'm pulling summer squash and pickle cukes almost daily. My cherry tomato plant is almost six feet tall, seeing it's in my raised bed so it's about eight foot!!

Hey now,
I don't do anything. Kinda like my canna babies, I let them go where they will and prune the dead stuff. First time in many a year I have growth like this. I have completely changed my growing habits. Used to till and fertilize, and pesticide, and. . . So now I have my new raised bed and live organic, soil food web stuff. I can see now with the enthusiastic growth that I am going to have to learn some new techniques like sideshoot pruning. That cucumber patch is only three plants!! And again like my canna girls as I learn the growth I'll learn how to prune.
