Grow Mediums General info for a single DWC 5gal.???

Lol i was exactly the same 6 months ago ... All the info you need is right hear bud.

For LED's check . "Grownorthern THE MANUAL" & "blackstar THE MANUAL" .. Red eyed c & J taNg are the lighting mods i think .. At the bottom of the home page is the FERO & GrowNorthern sections as well

Main things you want are a good air pump.. ideally a 30L/min for each bucket ,thats pretty essential ...& the meters ,PH & EC/PPM don't bother with cheap ones (i chucked 3 in the bin that screwed up the 1st couple trys) , plus a light that can match the root growth :booya:allow about 1.2m square & she should have plenty of room :smokebuds:
I can tell you the GrowNortherns "gn ms006" is a kickass LED at a great price

I use eutech ph and ec pens...over a decade....great bit of equipment...
Standard aquarium airpumps and suggest for bang for buck you go with hps....far easier to get better yields with hps IMO

If you're looking for yield go with Dutch Passion's "Think Different". Killer smoke, and she'll put off some major weight no problem in hydro.
Check the links in my signature for some Think Different in action using Ebb and Flow.
6 OZ per plant isn't bad for my third grow. 5.25 pounds. 14 plants.
Pulled 1.5 lbs on my second grow using 5 plants in a 4x4 Ebb and Flow table.
Used DWC on my first run and pulled only a few ounces between 3 plants but I was just starting out, and made plenty of mistakes.

Here's where I get my Lights. Cheap.
I've bought more than a few, and they work great.
Peace.

Thanks again guys. Y'all definitely have my attention with all this info. I thought I had some seeds picked but after watching/reading some logs on here think I might try going with and autoMazar and a TD for my first grow(s) probably do one at a time so I can give my full attention to one plant. I think if done anywhere near right I should be able to getaway least a few oz's from each. Not looking to set any records but if I can manage to pull of 3-4 from each I would be ecstatic! I'm still looking into this whole LED thing. Trying to find an affordable one that will do the job. Not sure of how small of one I can get away with as far as how many watts or LEDs needed for one plant I would need. I did find one that was 1w with 125 dual spectrum LEDs in it but not sure if that would be enough. What do you guys think. Obviously if I could afford a nice one in the 2w-3w size that would be ideal but for now that's out of e question. If not I'm looking at running 4-6 42w( equivelant to 200w/each) Cfls two on top and either 1 or 2 on each side. Or is that over kill??? Lovin this forum by the way can't get enough info!!!

Go for two smaller led instead of one big one. Better light coverage. Which light you choose is mostly budget constricted. California light works have some nice looking lights made in USA I believe but are a bit pricey. As are the grownorthern lights. Lots of people use blackstars. I'm using AdvanceLED I think. I was going to buy a light from busy bee leds I'd check that out the prices seem really good for lights that look identical to other, branded and marked up lights. Bottom line is more is better for lots of nugs

Now obviously a 3w LED would be better but would a 1w get good results as well?

Ya definitely possible i was reading that some 3w LED are actually 1w diodes tested to run at higher wattage. However I cannot say that is true for all 3w lights. Go with units tested by people on this forum. Seymore uses penetrators by hydrogrowled, so those would be an option. Personally it i were to buy a new light, for one plant, I would get a California light works solar storm 400w. Maybe the 800w for 2 plants or a real tree. It has UVB for enhanced trichrome production in flower. Also selectable spectrum for veg/bloom.

The penetrators seems good. AdvancedLED look alright as well. Browse LED forum see who is growing the nicest trees; ask about their light.

What size LED you running now Tavosvo? Kudos on your plant by the way, that thing looks awesome can't wait to see the final product! I might just hold out on starting until I can afford a decent LED. I mean, if I am going to do it I might as well get it done right, right? Were you running any kind of heating in that tent before you added those two lights or was the LED maintaining good heat?
