New Grower Garden of the Hesperides: II

That is correct. Only Bloom and maybe only 3-4 times at that. Added mykos granules at the start and dosed 1ml miicrobial mass twice with just a smidge of molasses.

I got the schedule from @hope2grow
copy/paste from their perpetual thread, around pg440 I think.....

Days 1-7 tap water thats has been left out to declorinate.
Day 8 until they're in flower AN Sensi Bloom @ 1ml per L + cal mag @ 1ml per L(canna's cal mag atm)
Flower until the end.. AN Sensi Bloom @ 2ml per L, Green Planet Massive @ 3ml per L, cal mag @ 2ml per L.

I left out the CalMag completely as the BioBizz Lightmix soil seems to have a ca and mg component to it and my tap water has loads as well. I've only been doing feed/water/water but I messaged Hope and they said to feed every time so definitely some room to play. I posted the ppm results of 1ml A/B in distilled water and it comes up in the 400 range. Plenty strong for autos from what I've been reading on here.

This is only my second grow. My first one I ran the Autobeast guide and used both grow and bloom. I burned the heck out of my plant but it did work.
I do use the beast method toned down a bit. But I have burned the crap out of them as well. Whatever you are doing they look healthy.

Day 28: Saturday 3/27/21, pics and update from yesterday. Didn't have a chance to log on and upload. It's been smooth sailing so far but I appear to be running into a problem.

Additions:
1.8L Distilled water at 0ppm
Miicrobial Mass at 4ml/L so 8ml total +43ppm
Sensi Bloom 2ml A/B
A: 421ppm 5.2 pH
B: 614 ppm 4.9 pH

pH up - 692ppm 6.7pH (I've been watering in close to 6.3, give it a little swing this time)

I've overwatered a bit but I won't be home the next couple days so just a little buffer. I'm also starting to see some yellowing of the lowest leaves. I think maybe a N def? But I'll post in the infirmary as well. Maybe nothing to worry about.

Pics: Looking droopy, but I've watered to a trickle of runoff. Should be enough for a couple days.

It's this leaf and one opposite side looking like this.

Another full shot with a bit different lighting. The yellowing may be spreading to some of the upper leaves as well.

Day 33: 4/1/21 Been away a couple days missed updating but back at it with a quick one tonight. I definitely wish I had caught the last couple days as it grew a ton. Sorting out the nute/lockout issue. Made a post in the infirmary, belived to be a bit of a lockout and too much too soon. Easy to look back and see some high ppm numbers. Should have used less and kept it in the low 2-300's, I hammered it with nearly 700 on one occasion. Ugh. So easy to see it now.

Master proph said it is probably excess Potassium, therefore locking out Nitrogen, Ca, and Mg. I suspected Nitro deficit but the lockout suggestion is spot on for causing the same thing.

That said, still going and looking better than last time. Improvement and progress!

Additions:
Water 1.2L
Change of nutes back to AN Sensi Grow A/B 0.6ml of each
results: 278ppm and 4.6pH
pH up to 6.4 and 378ppm

Quick pics:

Looks Great! Maybe some overwatering and extra nuts.
... the yellowing looks more pronounced to me now. Looks like what I just saw in one of mine presumed to be lockout due to excessive nutrients.
Here, day 27, yellowing in the new growth. By day 33, methinks its spreading (last pic).
I thought mine was getting better as the growth was still rapid, but the yellowing continued from the top-down. Trying to put out the fire, we threw a bunch of fuel on it. She's still in the game...
I hope yours recovers, since you identified, and mitigated the issue fast! I hope I'm wrong, I'm just learning.
Awesome documentary. What fine attention to detail (talent)!

Lessons learned...
  • The master is always right
  • Less is more
  • measure measure measure ;)

Day 34: So, it was looking a little sickly and droopy yesterday. Fed light on the veg/grow nutes and today we are looking a bit better! Couple days there of water only, then Sensi Grow yesterday, today 1.2L plain water.

Light is hanging at about 14"
Temp consistent in mid 70's or ~24°C, RH70%

Pics:

Sorry about the huge font..... Pasted it on and ack, im old and couldn't figure out how to resize it and didn't save the original... ugh, usual computer malarkey.

P1030235.JPG

5 very tall "main" stems sticking up and the middle filling in nicely.

P1030234.JPG

The center is filling in!
(And check out that inconsistent font/box size for the breeder/strain tag again! Ya old dummy: Sort. It. Out.)
P1030238.JPG

Final pic: I clipped a few of the worst looking leaves around the bottom. Just a couple at a time. Might get those last two bad looking ones tomorrow. Still some droopy boys hanging about. Hope they perk up like the upper sections did.

Perked right up

Day 37: Day 35 and 36 got about 500ml of water each. Tonight got fed again.

Additions:

1200ml water - just enough for a drip or two of runoff.
Sensi Grow A/B - added maybe 0.6ml of each. I cannot say as I realized something @Proph said about not following guides. I added nutes until I reached the ppm I wanted instead of a set amount.

Such a simple concept, so obvious, yet why did I overlook it...... ugh....

So...

added nutes to 318ppm drip by drip: A drip then B drip. I know it says add A then B to completion but I was overshooting my ppm target so hard a couple times I decided to try and titrate evenly instead. Not sure which approach is better. Adding equal A/B and then watering down to ppm or drip/drip up?

Ph dropped to 4.4 in distilled water and I had to add ph UP back to 6.6 and ended up around 350ppm

Day 39: Watered. That's it. Not much changing at the moment. Must mean the plant is up to something internal we can't readily see... Or I've just munged it up and it doesn't know what to do!

Clipped a couple more of the dying fan leaves. Take a couple more tomorrow. Looking lime-y and light. Hope the nute issue sorts itself out and it gets back to looking more green.
