@Frenjamin Banklin @MordecaiAlliVanAllenOshea @bhaskara_phoenix @archie gemmill hey is this how you clean the filters? Does anyone clean them or just replace? How often and any maintenance at all you need to keep up on?

Don’t think that works for our setup, grow filter is more of s carbon scrubber. I did a bunch of searches hoping to find a more cost effective replacement solution. Best I could find was people repacking them with fresh carbon. I run a six inch and run 6 plants continuously and change it once a year with a new one. Keeps all the smell, unless I stand their like a dope with the door open, that happens.

:crying:

my filter is £20 and lasts about a year.the white cloth on the outside...we meant to take that off and wash it,it catches dust n fluff, carbon catches tiny smell particals.if we blowing not sucking the cloth goes on the inside.give it a shake now and again to.
all theory ofcourse i just bin mine, and never wash the cloth.pop riveted in so a painget lil bolt/screws,and to empty and wash/oven dry.heard of people getting fresh carbon.depends on scale/cost.
for me £20 a year on a filter do the job

the smallest cheapest 4" a well known auction site has to offer  double checked the lil arrow on the fan.30 days is a tad early for a stink.

Thanks, is it possible to just get a bad filter? Or does some strains just smell. I've read that these two are stinky. And i mean I can tell you from this grow they are stinky but you would think a 4 inch on high in a 2x4 tent be plenty.

i never noticed any smells other than when i open the cupboard door.but sour livers smelt of 7 kinds of shite late in flower half way up me stairs :haha:
is there an ever so slight suck in on the walls of the tent ?

Dude I've tried to clean them build them and all the above lol. What I've found works good is once the filter starts getting worn out buy the cheap carbon prefilter pads on amazon and wrap it around the carbon filter. It gives me a couple extra months outta it. I use the ipower 6inch thats the one i get the most life out of. The 4 inch ones dont last half as long.

Do you have a link for that type of product? I did a search on carbon prefilter pads" and half the hits were related to brake pads.
