bit of a premature update, not much has changed, besides my will to move Ripley's around the house - it's basically wrestling at this stage and i'm not sure i'll continue to win if i push my luck much more. keep smacking her head on door frames and getting arms caught up everywhere.

still, in just a few days you can see a difference, especially in Ripley.

Ripley's OG 47 days old, shaping up to be everything i thought she'd be lemon and pine becoming very strong stacking buds like nothing in my cupboard before she's a good meter tall, and those branches are like arms.

Stilton Special 48 days - this little beauty stinks already, cheese and livers was always going to

this round i looked at better supplementing P & K at the start of flower - AN has Big Bud, but at 0-1-3 it's a little tame. I'm trying out introducing Overdrive alongside the Big Bud at lowered ratios to see what happens. last night was their second feed of 60/40 Big Bud to Overdrive at a little more than 1ml per L.

Overdrive has always been a good product, but usually more for the end of flower. Big bud should do the trick early on. Might want to feed the medium with a little Carbo Load or molasses as well, that really helps the medium, which is now being sucked dry of its nutrients by that monster you have created!!

Looking lovely mate, I was looking through the strain guide last night and added white chem and walter white to my to do list, I will be adding the ripleys too depending on your smoke report. Looking at her if I went the 80 days I'd have more smoke than I'd know what to do with haha

Looking at them you don't want to be using big bud anymore, from memory i'm sure it is designed to create more bud sites and to make them bud quicker giving you a larger final product due to the early "boost". I would certainly be looking to either start adding some straight PK now or introduce any boosters that have decent levels of it. I use my big bud from first sign of flower for exactly 14 days and then stop, I'm sure that is on the money in terms of instructed use. I am definitely with @MedCzech, I'm sure overdrive is for the very end of flower just before flush, I used to use it religiously but only at the very end for the last week of feed.

more inclined to trust the larger one

but not just as confident as i was
but in saying that the 62% is perfect theory.some folk like bud a lil dryer others go the other way again personal preference,some by feel some dont give a monkeys and whack it in a jar when they get round to it the cigar guys i think like 58% or 68% bovedas.+/-3% im not so sure i could tell,it would be how it crumbles/breaks up would give it away rather than a taste test for me.

that’s how I’ve used Overdrive traditionally, but after a few issues last grow I wanted to be sure I was feeding enough P & K. I was going to pick up some AN Hammerhead but saw some info where Overdrive was being used early for additional P/K which I already had handy...
but I think i’ll back off the lot now and up her base instead. she’s been getting Carboload a couple of times a week

it’s difficult to keep out of the catalogue man, literally everything in it speaks to me I mean I’m buying a tent very soon so I can get through more of ‘em and Ripleys is about 20cm wider than the cupboard she lives in so y’know

Yeh I don’t trust my gauges enough to rely on just the one so I pop 2 or 3 in the cupboards and go with an in between guess
62’s seem okay to me, I doubt the stuff I was buying was ever that dry
early days yet but so far think whole hang tasting better straight away versus the paper bags from the first round

Looking great buddy, that frost is a good indication of things to come, and what a beeheeast! You can use Big Bud right the way through if you want. I'm not convinced it does an awful lot but I'm yet to run a side by side on it and it certainly can't hurt. I find it's impossible to really tell what anything that AN make is actually supposed to do as they seem to claim that every one of their products ensures pounds of bud, dinner with Jesus, communion with Buddha and eternal happiness as long as you keep buying their gear.
Who knows... their marketing does my head in but they clearly make a decent product or it wouldn't be so popular. I plan on running all AN next grow just to see what all the fuss is about. I do hope they prove my scepticism to be wrong!
They do also make some coco specific nutes which could be interesting, although I'm unsure why exactly they're better for coco... again, the information they provide is unclear to say the least.

Anyway, i don't wanna start bashing AN, there's enough people doing that. I've smoked a big ol' doob of 4AM and am going on a rant... All I meant to say is you can use Big Bid right the way through!

Chiming in again... Canna make a good PK additive, it's pretty cheap and will last for a long while. I've found that running it at 50% strength for a couple of weeks during early bloom does the trick and increases calyx production. It seems like autos are a little more sensitive to it and need less, from my limited photo experience but it's made a visible difference to the FxS.

I know the coco version of the big bud has an added wetting agent for increased oxygen uptake and it looks totally different too. Normal big bud is brown, kind of smells like pine and looks like a normal liquid. The coco version is thick a white and clouds up on contact with water, seems to be a similar kind of substance to bloombastic.

I have tried nearly every AN product over the years (I even once bought all 5 of the rooting nutes ) I ran various combinations to try and find out what is actually working since they do so many different products and like you say mate they promise everything up to the second coming of Christ our lord and saviour The only product I found that added anything substantial to my usual base regiment was the Big Bud.

For a cheap all in one booster plus PK I highly recommend Bloombastic @Froot n Fuel a small tub should not cost more than £15 and at 0.5ml a litre it stretches quite a way.

Seems Ripley's is really branching out for you! Must be a struggle trying to confine that girl to her to the cupboard! it was with the larger girl for me, the amount of times even getting her out the tent to do a clean causes the occasional lingering smell around the room from when buds made contact
