Indoor Frogster Autopot "Zamnesia" Grow

Day 37

Finally it has stopped raining, the outside temp is now a mild 8 deg c (thats warmer than it was). So, I decided to risk a quick photo outside.

Grabbed the first plant and placed her outside for this pic. This is the plant I have defoliated from the top, she has responded well with nice bud growth and limb structure.

I will clean up the bottom layer of leaves etc whilst she is out of the tent, and make her look pretty.

She was only out for 5 mins max and her leaves started to droop with the cold, so she was quickly returned to the warm tent... The others will stay in the tent for their photos.

Back in the tent, I rearranged her position and took an overhead shot to show bud structure (she sure looks nice).

and on to the second Amnesia Haze plant (below).... This is the one that lost a branch. She is also doing well, recovered fine from her accident.

She is a fraction behind plant 1 in development, but she always has been, so I am happy, no concerns, she is doing well.

The Caramel (below) brings up the rear, I need to get her out of the tent and do some LST and defoliation... later today if the weather holds and I get time, I may risk it.

She has really developed these last few days, she is going to be a nice plant also.... I am blessed with good plants.

All plants on Bloom now and being fed from the Res at 5.8 PH and 1.8 EC running day temps at 28deg and Humidity at 55%Rh, mixed 1000wts of HPS & LED.

Thanks for the interest.

I don't have a lot of experience either really.... I tend to "clue up" a lot before I venture into anything, loads of research, and it's really paid off with this growing lark.

Loads of info out there.... But you need to cherry pick it.... Some areas are "cut & dry" as what to do, some have opposing ideas and opinions, and for me there are some areas (like the effects of humidity at various stages of growth), that I feel may have a very influencing factor on growth, and therefore cry out for further research....

I am also a "fiddler"... and will do a bit of DIY if needed. I try and look at things logically, identify the problem area and find a way to solve it. Hence the fogger unit I made (detailed in my previous grow) to raise humidity in growth stage, and I then developed a controller to operate & monitor it.

As I said, I am no expert, but seem to be doing OK with my plants in all my grows so far (I hope that hasn't jinxed that).

I believe that good equipment and nutrients account for 90% of the success.

That said, If I can help at anytime, just shout.

They look great @Frogster !!

I'm completely new to growing cannabis so I like to hear everybody's thoughts on different things and I appreciate you taking the time to share yours!
I'm new as well to indoor growing, especially autopots and coco. Last year I did a DWC and a soil grow indoors, this year has been some breeding projects indoors and two outdoor grows. It's too hot in the summer here to grow indoors without air and I just started back indoors with the autopots. So I'm no expert by any means. I just research the heck out of things and read lots of journals closely related to how or what I am growing.

When you read the journals you not only get all the info of the grower, but also all the questions / answers from fellow users that are reading along. Many of those questions are ones I would have asked myself so magically I have learned something else. Believe me I read every journal I could about autopots and coco before pulling the trigger on this setup.

So read some journals, ask your questions, and someone will try to help you out. That's whats so great about AFN.

Day 43

The Autopots are doing their thing.... Every 2 days I have to top up the res with feed/water.... No problems - so everything is Golden.

Weather is changeable here, Rain Showers and cooler... this has an effect on humidity levels in the tent as I draw fresh air from outside, however I have managed to remain on target and kept the following temps, humidity etc this last week.
  • Day Temp 28deg C with Humidity sitting at around 48%rh. Mixed HPS & LED lights 1000wts.
  • Feed EC at 1.8 and Ph at 5.8
Managed to get a couple of plants out the tent for photos in between rain showers.

I am running a dehumidifier at this stage, to keep the Rh down to 50% and below..... It will remain at this level until the last week and I will drop it more then (to about 40% Rh) to finish.

I also have increased the tent air circulation, especially around the bottom of the tent, keeping roots warm and to balance out the temps/Rh over the whole of the tent.

Tip:- If you have not measured temps etc in different parts of your tent... Do It Now.....
It is surprising the amount of variation, especially as plants grow taller and thicker, leaves shield the light and heat from the lower areas and add humidity. Worth checking and adjusting as they grow.

The Caramel, has become my favorite plant this grow.... a very nicely balanced bush, lots of bud sites and well structured. she stands at about 3ft 6" the cage has worked as planned and contained the grow and shape.

Both the Auto Amnesia Haze have just about finished growing, and started to fill the buds out.... they may get another 6" taller, but all is good.

Here is Amnesia Haze (plant 1).... The other is almost the same, just a day or two behind. Again good growth and structure.
